Mr. Prickett,
I am writing to follow up our exchange of voice mails earlier in the month regarding the
work to be completed at 520 Ceape Street.
The project is nearing completion, however I have been side tracked several times as this
is probably the busiest time of the year for tenants moving in and out.
I have approximately 7 windows to finish wrapping and the back section of the house that
was sagging needs to be sided. In my voice mail to you I had asked for a little more time
to complete this, but I just wanted to follow this up in writing. I hope to have this
completed for you by September 10, 2007. I actually hope to have this completed in the
next couple weeks.
Once again I appreciate your patience in giving me a little more time to complete my
work. This has been very expensive and I have not been able to afford to hire out for
everything that needs to be completed at this house.
As always, please feel free to contact me regarding this.
Sincerely,
Tom Hendricks

Re: Open Correction Notice for 520 Ceape Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Hendricks,
I am writing this letter as a follow up to a Correction Notice that was issued on 5/4/05 for
your property located at 520 Ceape Ave. in Oshkosh. I have enclosed an updated copy
for your review. Our records indicate that the notice is still open. A re-inspection is
required to verify compliance before the notice can be closed out. Please contact me on
or before January 12, 2007 with the status of the required repairs or to schedule the
necessary re- inspection.
Also, the building permit for the rear entry has expired, as of 11/7/06, and the required
inspections have not been completed. Contact John Zarate at 236-5119 to arrange for
your inspections or to discuss an extension for the building permit.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience. The best time to reach me is during my
office hours 7:30 - 8:30 am and 12:30 - 1 :30 pm Monday- Friday at 236-5137, or if you
wish, send a letter or e-mail meataprickett@ci.oshkosh.wi.us
Thank you for your attention to these matters.
Respectfully,
Andrew Prickett

Subject: Correction Notice for 520 Ceape Street
Mr. Prickett,
I received your letter of the open correction notice for the property at 520 Ceape Street.
Last time we talked. I informed you that my tenants were being asked to leave for failure to pay rent. I was going
to shut the house down for the winter and begin repairs in the spring. I have removed those tenants, but a month
later was approached by someone who offered to clean it, rent it and purchase it.
I have started working on the rear entry once again. I believe John approved the framing ahd my electrician took
a permit out for some re-wiring. Oncel complete the drywall and the electrician puts the switches and outlets in,
he will be calling for the approval on that. Correct me if I am incorrect, I think that is the last inspection I need on
that, besides the inspection from you on the corrections??
If this is agreeable with you I will do the following:
1) Stop down on Friday 1-9-07 and re-new or get a new permit for the following:
a. Porch and steps in the front of the house. They have been temporarily repaired.
b. Steps for the updated rear entry
c. Completion of the soffit and fascia on the rear entry.
d. Painting and or wrapping of the windows and any remaining peeling painted areas.
e. Replacement of the siding on the back entry.
2) I will then complete the items, weather permitting by June 30, 2007. I am asking for this date just in case
there is some painting that is needed.
I hope this date is agreeable with you. If there is anything else that I need to address, please let me know.
Again, thank you for working with me on these corrections.

Mr. Luedtke,
This It)tter is to follow up the progress 520 Ceape Street.
I would like to request an extension to complete this house until next summer. I just ran out of
time and wann weather to complete everything that I needed to complete. I am working with the
bank to get an additional loan to replace the windows rather than take them all out and repair
them. I just do not have the funds to fully complete this project.
I will however, continue to keep chipping away at the house, but won't fully complete it until I
can secure the financing and purchase the windows.
I have completed the soffet and fascia and completed the demo of the back portion of the house. I
have been working with Brian Fuchs, Vangaurd Contracting, to help out with what needs to be
done to correct the back portion of the house. I hope to have an excavator over within the next
two weeks to drill for new footings and then get the area buttoned back up.
I appreciate you working with me on this house once again.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to give me a call!
Sincerely,
~~
