I have received the same final notice that you did from the city regarding the yard
at 419 Bowen St., and I am a little concerned. I spoke Friday, to Mr. Prickett from the
city inspection office and he reminded me that although cleaning up the yard is your
responsibility, at the end of the day the house is still in my name, and ifthe city does not
get resolution from you, they will come after me.
I realize that I have sold you the house on a land contract, but in our signed
agreement, you are responsible for all maintenance, repairs and upkeep of the property
and failure to do so will void our agreement.
Please do exactly as Mr. Prickett asks in the time frame that he has given you so
this does not go any further. If on April 1, 2007, this is not complied with and the city's
actions turn toward me, my only recourse is to give you a five-day eviction notice, and
clean up the yard myself.
I appreciate the relationship we have built over the past year or so, but the law is
the law and I cannot let this go to the point where I am fmed because of your yard. Please
take this seriously!
