'N:sconSln 54902-' 130 City of Oshkosh Sept. 27, 1985 ~ Bernice Vonderloh 211 High Ave. Oshkosh, WI 54901 OJHKOJH ON THE WATER Dear Ms. Vonder10h: On Sept. 26, 1985, Edward Reimer and I inspected portions of your property known as 211 High Ave. During the inspection we found the following violations of the Wisconsin ILHR Codes which shall be corrected: 1. There is double action hardware on the rear entry door to the upper apartments. The door must be openable from the inside by only turning the door knob. 2. The ceiling and wood beam in the fire rated furnace room has not been completed to provide a 1 hour rating. The ceiling shall be covered with drywall per the building inspectors instructions. 3. There are handrails missing on the basement stairs and part of the rear staircase~ One section of handrail is also loose. Handrails shall be installed on all stairs of 3 or more risers at a height of 32 inches above the nose of the treads. The following violations of various other codes were also noted: 4. The rain downspout apparently drains into the sanitary sewer. The downspout shall be removed and the receiving pipe capped. 5. The roof leaks and water is coming through near the scuttle hole in the hall of the second floor. 6. The laundry in the basement does not comform to code. Two exits are needed to have a laundry in the basement. 7. The step on the east entry door shall be replaced with a platform. 8. The electrical fixture in the front stairwell is damaged and shall be repaired. Sincerely, BRUCE LUEDTKE Housing Inspector
