Dear Oshkosh Common Council,
The Spanish-speaking members of St. Jude the Apostle Parish of Oshkosh, who
represent persons from Mexico, Peru, EI Salvador, Spain, Dominican Republic, and
Puerto Rico, are sponsoring a Run- Walk in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe October 14,
2007. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds for three purposes:
. To raise awareness of the issues surrounding immigrants here in the Oshkosh area.
. To celebrate diversity among us on December 12, 2007, the religious-cultural feast of
our Lady of Guadalupe.
. To support the daily needs of poor children taken care of by the Sisters of Charity,
Mother Theresa of Calcutta in Latin America.
Our group hopes that this project will be the first of many projects. We intend to
benefit groups of people in Northeastern Wisconsin and Latin America. As a Catholic
institution, we promise to keep you well inform about the ways we will be using the
money through further correspondence.
In order to make our event a success, we need your permission to ensure the
safety along the race route. The Map of the route is shown on the attached map. We have
been working with Sergeant Matt Kroening. of the Oshkosh Police Department for this
event. We thank you beforehand for your support.
May God bless you as you continue to serve this community.

To Whom it May Concern:
On Friday, September 28,2007, Lourdes High School will be holding its annual
homecoming. As part of the festivities, we would like to have a small parade. Step off
would be 5:30 PM from the Sacred Heart Parish parking lot at 1020 W. 6th Ave. It would
proceed on 6th A venue and turn north onto Knapp Street. It would then proceed north to
Durfee to cross to Witzel A venue and move to Josslyn Street. The parade would end into
the parking lot of Lourdes High School. From step-off to the end of the parade should
take no more than 30 minutes. The parade would consist of a band, 4 floats representing
the four class levels at Lourdes and 5 cars with Homecoming court members.
Thank you for your time and attention to this event.
