This program is designed to help low to moderate income persons with housing issues. We do not make up the
rules, the Department of Housing and Urban Development does, and they are the entity that is providing the
money. We must count all income for each adult living in a given dwelling unit. regardless or marital or ownership
status.
Your tenant's income does not count toward your household income because he is living in a separate dwelling
unit. But he, too, must be income qualified.
I am afraid you are clearly over income. The best I can do at this point is provide you with technical information,
which I would be happy to do.

I'm not sure ifthats good news. Why does the income of the woman that lives with me
count. It's my house, she's not on the deed or on my loan and doesn't pay rent. Just so it's
noted, my income would be 39k a yr. and her's is 40+ a yr. Why does my tenants income
count too, I'd guess just what he pays in rent should count which is $5700 a yr

Just a follow-up to the info I sent you concerning the loan program offered through the City. I talked with Ken
Gresser, who reviews the applications, and found out that residents in the Near East are given priority. This
means that you would not have to wait till March or later to find out if you qualify. If you have any intentions of
applying I would say the sooner you apply the sooner you will find out if you are eligible. Hope this information is

Thank you for getting back to me quickly. You received the follow up letter because I took this position over
in January of last year and I am trying to get updates for all the open Correction Notices that were issued prior
to me starting. I have sent out the reminder letter to all property owners who have open notices prior to 2006.
Looking at my file I managed to send you two of the follow up letters (one was sent out yesterday also) so you
can toss the second letter out ~ although I believe that I sent some pictures. It's never good to hear of people
getting taken by those hired to do a job. I hope that you can track down the individual who took your money

and ran so you can take him to court in an effort to recover your loss. My recommendation is to always
research your contractors - check with the better business bureau and ask for references. Also, make sure they
have been in business for a good amount oftime.
As far as the repairs go, if the painting gets done this spring that will go a long way to getting a further
extension of time to complete the rem.aining repairs. Yes, the City does offer re-hab assistance. Basically
how it works is you stop in to Rm. 204 (Community Development) in City Hall and pick up an application.
The application is due by March 15, 2007 but I wouldn't put it offtoo long (there is only so much money
available). The program is income qualified. If you are approved, it is a no-interest, no payment loan which is
paid back when you sell the house or after 20 years. The other good news is that the City works with reliable,
reputable contractors so the work will get done and done right. You should talk to Ken' Gresser in regards to
program - he reviews the applications.
I agree that some of the surrounding area in your neighborhood is in rough shape. Rest assured that any of the
surrounding properties that have code issues will also be addressed. I believe that Ken will probably get to
that area in the Near East next year. If not, I might be brought in to address some of the issues also. .
Please let me know what your plans are. This way I can update the Correction Notice accordingly. If you
would, update me ASAP.

First, before I forget, myemail is dIauersdorf@rr.new.com and this one
that I'm using now, but after a few days my sbc global account will be
terminated. Just so you have my email to use in a few days, till then
I'll be using this one; I can check it here while I'm at work.
As for the house, I'm not sure where to start. . I had hireda guy last
year, or the year before depending on when the notice was vVriitJti tip, to.
do the repairs I needed to have done, I paid the gentleman 1/2 of the
estimate like he wanted, after he did some of the work, he quit showing
up. Therepairs he did were 1/2 assed too. I still have many more
repairs that are needed, but I used all my saving last year to pay this
idiot. I'm going to use my tax refund this spring to get the house
painted. I live check to check, barely make ends meet, and cannot
afford to pay someone to finish the repairs. I'm not skilled at all to
doing repairs like the ones needed to the outside of the house, and
windows; we are talking a lot of money to make all the repairs required.
After I get the house painted, I'll see what's left to see if! can get
some repairs done. I know there is an East Side Revitalization plan
going on. Are there cheap loans available through this? My other
question is, how did my house come to be picked on? If you drive down
Jefferson, my house is average with all the others, ifnot above
average; I'm just curious??? Any advice you might have to help me
through this would be greatly appreciated, along with your time and
patients.

This is Dave Lauersdorf at 102 E. Irving Ave. I have completed all the repairs I was suppose
to in the beginning" of April. The repairs that need to be repaired by April 29th are the ones I
will need more time, lot's more time! I'm hoping to have those repairs done by the end of the
summer, lets say by Labor day.
My income barely keeps my head a float, any suggestions on someone cheap to help with the
big repairs, or some kind of Gov. program??
Again, Labor Day looks like a good goal.

be cited $212.00, when found, along with written orders to correct.
Violations must be corrected and approved within 30 days unless otherwise noted. Call for reinspections prior to concealment
and/or occupancy. Upon completing the corrections, the owner/contractor/agent must sign and date at the bottom of this notice
and return it to the Inspection Services Division by the Compliance Date of 4/6/05
Office hours for obtaining permits are Monday through Friday 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 12:30-1 :30 p.m. or by appointment. To schedule
inspections please call the Inspection Request line at 236-5128 noting the address, permit number (when applicable), and the
nature of what needs to be inspected.
