Dear Ms. Barton,
You have requested a letter of verification from our offict:(, indicating that the property
identified above is not located within the 100 year flood fringe of Lake Winnebago.
Per the attached survey prepared by Roelig Land Surveying, spot elevations on the
property indicate that the building envelope area is not located within the 109 year
floodplain. It appears that there is a discrepancy in the city regulatory map, depicting an
inaccurate floodplain location on the subject property, which has been cleared up by the
elevation s captured in the survey. Per the attached survey, the home will not be
considered within the 100 year floodplain, for the purposes of obtaining building permits.
It should be noted that the property is very close in elevation to the 100 year flood
elevation, and thus it is important to note that upon completion of the construction of the
home, the city will require a post construction elevation survey, performed by a Certified
Surveyor. This survey must be submitted to the Department of Community Development
verifying the finished elevation of the home is at or above 749.0', in order to obtain
occupancy for the home.
