HomeMy WebLinkAboutCranky Pats Oshkosh Common Council 6-8-2007 I am writing to appeal to the City of Oshkosh to issue Cranky Pats the licenses necessary to continue to operate despite the unfortunate tax issue involving the 100 N. Main building. Cranky Pats has been open for one year, and while we understand the result of not paying property tax, we feel we are being punished for something over which we have not control. Cranky Pats does not have any relationship with the 100 N. Main ownership other than as a tenant. As you may be aware, we also run the New Moon Cafe on Main Street. The financial hardship as a result of Cranky Pats having to close would be overwhelming, and cause the New Moon to close as well. This would have a negative impact for our Costumers, employees, vendors, and the downtown in general. We have been very fortunate to be provided an opportunity to contribute to the BID district and downtown Oshkosh, and we wish to be given the chance to continue to build upon what we have started with the New Moon Cafe and Cranky Pats. Your consideration is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Jason H. Baer Cranky Pats New Moon Cafe ~~/ Aaron A. Baer Cranky Pats New Moon Cafe CITY CLERK'S OFFICE
