The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as defined in Chapter 101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements Key Item(s) / Conditions: · IBC 710.4 Continuity. The supporting construction shall be protected to afford the required fire-resistance rating of the horizontal assembly supported. The elevator equipment room has a structural beam supporting the ceiling of this room, penetrating the walls and exposed in the equipment room. Per discussion with designer the beam will be boxed out to be excluded from this room, there by maintaining the required rating of the walls and ceilings of this room. Provide detail chos~n to box out beam and maintain required rating. · IBC 711.3 Any penetrations of fire rated assemblies are required to be protected with a listed firestopping system that matches the rating of the wall assembly being penetrated. Sheet H5.1 details "pack and caulk" are not firestopping systems, copies of the firestopping systems are required to be provided at the time of inspection · IFC 901.4 Fire protection systems shall be maintained in accordance with the original installation standards for that system. Required fire protection systems shall be extended, altered, or augmented as necessary to maintain and continue protection whenever the building is altered, remodeled or added to. Alterations to fire protection systems shall be done in accordance with applicable standards. Notes in sheet E3.1 under supervision do not indicate the required supervision, verify that supervision will be in compliance with this section. · Comm 62.1109 (4) Kitchens, kitchenettes and wet bars. Where kitchen, kitchenettes and wet bars are proVided in accessible spaces or rooms, they shall be accessible in accordance with ICC/ANSI Al17.1. Elevation 9 on Sheet A5.1 does not appear to comply with accessibility requirements for counters, verify compliance with ANSI A117.1 requirements. · NEC 110.26 Spaces About ElectriCal Equipment. Sufficient access and working space shall be proVided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment. Verify that the appropriate clearances required by this section are being maintained around V A V's · IMC 403.3.3 Variable air volume air distribution systems, other than those designed to supply only 100% outdoor air shall be provided with controls to regulate the flow of outdoor air. Such controls shall be designed to maintain the flow of outdoor air at a rate not less than required by Section 403 over the entire range of supply air operating rates. Verify that controls are configured per Section 15964B Part 3 3.3 B 7. of specifications provided - this should be reflected in balance report · IMC 602.2.1 Materials exposed within plenums. Except as required by Sections 602.2.1.1 through 602.2.1.4, materials exposed within plenums shall be noncombustible or shall have a flame spread index of not more than 25 and a smoke-developed index of not more than 50 when tested in accordance with ASTM E 84. Material cut sheets showing this information shall be available for materials used in plenum space. · Comm 5.34 No person may perform structural welding unless the person holds a registration issued by Department of Commerce. Provide welders registration numbers for all people doing welding on this project. · Comm 61.30(3) This review does not include lighting. Comm 63.0001 Prior to installation, lighting plans and calculations shall be prepared in compliance with the code. The plans shall be available upon request. . · Comm 61.31(4) Revisions to approved plans. All proposed reVisions and modifications which involve rules under this code and which are made to construction documents that have preViously been granted approval by the department or its authorized representative, shall be submitted to the office that granted the approval. All reVisions and modifications to plans shall be approved in writing by the department 'or its . authorized representative prior to the work involved in the reVision or modification being carried out. A revision or modification to a plan, drawing or specification shall be signed and sealed in accordance with Comm 61.31{1). · Comm 80 This plan review does not include plumbing. Balancing report required to be submitted prior to final occupancy being allowed. · IBC 1003.2.11 Means of egress illumination is required to be installed per this section. All paths of egress through The Retail Display area are required to have adequate emergency lighting to meet the performance requirements ofIBC 1003.2.11.3. Provide complete emergency lighting plan showing compliance with these requirements prior to installation of emergency lighting system. · Comm 61.50 (4) Supervision. Prior to the initial occupancy of an alteration the supervising professional shall file a compliance statement form SBD-9720 with this office. · NFP A 72 4.5.2 Provide a copy of the fire alarm system record or completion for the required monitoring and alarms of the automatic fire sprinkler system A copy of the approved plans, specifications, and this letter shall be on-site during construction. All permits are required to be obtained prior to commencement of work. In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this review shall relieve the designer of the responsibility for designing a safe building, structure, or component.
