The first floor smoke detector was oonj..,functional" with a

dead battery. In cnecking with the tepantsthey have neve
been issued a written responsibility fprm for smoke detec-
tors.

The roofing is in extremely poor condiJtion allowing rain-
water to leak into the dwelling and ca~se damage to the
interior ceiling of the North bedroom., Inasmuch as this
was ordered corrected July 27, 1989 ana due to the poor
condition of the rooting, the roofing ~hall be replaced
as patching apparently did not correct! the problem.
A number of panes of glass are missing! in both basement
and first floor windows in the dwelling. All glass shall
be replaced where required.

Garbage and refuse receptacles. .
Every dwelling unit shall have adequate ctisposal equipment
or receptacles for garbage and rubbish l~rge enough to hold
all garbage and rubbish generated by that dwelling unit.
Such receptacles shall comply with the requirements and
standards set by the Department of Public Works and the city
Health Department.

stairways in single and two family dwell~ngs shall be of
safe and sound construction, equippeq with proper handrails
mounted not less than two feet six inche~(2'6") above the
nose of the treads and equipped with treads and risers
reasonably uniform. Stairways in other multiple family
dwelings shall comply with .the ap~ropriate provisions of the
state uniform building code conta~ned in'the Wisocnsin
Administrative Code.

Smoke Detectors.
Effective October 1, 1985, all dwellin9 units, vacant or
occupied, subject to. the provisions of t~~s Article shall be
provided with a working, ~pproved, list~d and labeled smoke
detector in the basement and on each f190r of the dwelling
.'unit except in the attic or storage are~ of said dwelling
units.

When provided or used in any dwelling unit subject to the provisions
of this Article, natural gas ranges, ovens and oven/range
combinations of any type shall be installed, maintained and used or
operated in a safe and nonhazardous manner, pursuartt to any
applicable state or national codes and regulationsJ Whenever such
an applicance is found or determined to be or certijfied by the
Wisconsin Public Service Corporation as unsafe or hazardous, no

The roofing is in extremely poor cond~tion allowing rain-
water to leak into the dwelling and c~use damage to the
interior ceiling of the North bedroom~ Inasmuch as this
was ordered corrected July 27, 1989 arid due to the poor
condition of the rooting, the roofing 'shall be replaced
as patching apparently did not correct the problem.
3. 16-35 (d) A number of panes of glass are missing in both basement
and first floor windows in the dwelli~g. All glass shall
be replaced where required.
