Lincoln 1 Terry Eisch 1523 Algoma Blvd. Mailed following complaint c:c:: Building Inspector/Fire Inspector/Plumbinq Ir ITEM t; ORDER FINDINGS OF INSPECTION 1. 18-79 .1A LHR57.03 The second floor rear deck, whichis.a required exit from' the two upper apartments is in a deteriorated condition and has been im~roperly repaired. without ~ Per~it a~ fol- lows: The decking and joists show signs of decay and the platform sags dowmvard on the outside edge and in the middle. The new support posts that have been installed are loose & the footings which are only on two of the four supports have not been instal~ed below frost level. One of the post has concrete block braced behind it to keep vehicles from knocking it out. The stairs leading to this deck is in a deteriorated condi- tion with an exagerated sag downward on the outside edge and a number of broken treads. This deck shall be rebuilt to a sound and solid condition with footings installed belolv the frost line and equipped wi th two s.tairways to grade as required for exiting, A PEru1IT will be required. 2. 18-79.1A The attached structure at the rear of the building is ex- cessively deteriorated and shall be removed. DEFICIENCIES MUST 8E CORRECTED AND APPROVED CONCEALMENT. All broken, missing or otherwise damaged siding shall be replaced. 4. l8-79.lA The window sills and framing trim on the front windows is deteriorated with missing portions. These wd.ndows shall be repaired and the woodwork painted. 5. l8-79.lA The metal fire escape on the South side of the building is coming loose from the building, in a rusted condition and missing a required platform at the bottom. This fire es- cape shall either be repaired or removed as exiting from the new deck will satisfy exit requirements. 6. 16-35 (d) There are broken panes of glass in the building which shal be replaced. 7. l8-79.lA The chain link fence on the South property line is in poor condition and shall be removed along with the weeds and brush growing around it. 8. 20-8A Apparently plumbing has been installed without permit as it is apparent the fixtures are new and new cabinetry has been installed. 9. 16-34 (@) Mechanic~trrc~~~diE~t~~~T ~~ {oii~tT~~d~nAi~R~V~pa~i~ift baths. The bathroom floor coverings shall be replaced due' to holes and damage that allow unsanitary conditions to occur. The -basement stairs is in a deteriorated and dangerous condition and shall be replaced. The runoff tube is missing on the large boiler/water heat er in the basement. A number of Fire Code violations still exist which were written up ~1arch 30, 1988. These violations shall be corrected as they affect the residential units on the second floor. A reinspection ~ill be made on July 17, 1989 to assure that progress is being made. Presently the living units on the second floor are Uninhabitable due to the conditioI of their only exit.
