ITEM # ORDER FINDINGS OF INSPECTION
1. -16-33 (7) There are no smoke detectors in the dwelling. Smoke de-
tectors are required on all floors including the basement.
Smoke detectors shall be installed by the owner and bat-
teries shall.be replaced by the owner. The tenant is res-
ponsible for testing and notifying the owner of a non-
functional detector in writing.
2. 16-33 (6) Handrails are required on the front entry steps and on the
basement steps.
3. 16-34 (3) A light fixture is required to illuminate the entry steps.
The exposed wiring on the front lower hall fixture shall b
covered.
4. 16-34 (3) Wall type electrical receptacles are required in the South We:
bedroom.
5. 16-35 (2) The guardrail on the stairs to the second floor shall be
made secure enabling it to withstand 200 Ibs of force.
6. 16-35 (1.) The rear attached shed and second exit platform from the
upper apartment are in various stages of deterioration; th
shed falling away from the building and the platform showi g
signs of decay. Tenants have been instructed not to use
the second exit due to its condition by the leasing agent.
7. 16-35 (3) The bathroom'sink is falling away from the wall.

FINDINGS OF INSPECTION
There is no effective source of heat to the bathroom and
the Southwest bedroom. Heat supplies shall be installed.
There are two possible open sewers in the basement and
sewer backup is evident. The open sewers shall be closed
by a licensed plumber and the basement floor sanitized in
its entirety.
Shut-off valves are required on both gas waterheaters.
Improper relief valves have been installed on both water-
heaters~
The venting from the waterheaters shall be secured to the
chimney flue.
The abovementioned Code violations will not be considered
corrected until their correction has been reported to this
office. Please contact this office on or before April 20,
1989 for a FINAL inspection.
