Item # 2 Code 16-33A (6) Compliance No Compliance Date 03/06/2002 IMMEDIATELY Description Stairways in single, two family dwelling and multi-family dwellings shall be equipped with proper handrails installed in accordance with COMM 21.04 Basement steps and upper stairs to second floor to be equipped with code compliant handrails. Item # 3 Code 16-35A (1)a Compliance Compliance Date 03/06/2002 IMMEDIATELY Description The second floor kitchen floor covering is deteriorated and shall be replaced to a water resistant and cleanable surface. The wall surfaces around the kitchen sink shall be repaired to a water resistant, cleanable surface. All 2nd floor bathroom walls shall be repaired and painted including removal of mold growing on bathroom ceiling. Item # 4 Code Comm 21.03 Compliance No Compliance Date 03/06/2002 IMMEDIATELY Description The only exit for the second floor living unit is a doorway that does not meet the height requirements for doors. 6' 4" is the minimum height of any foor required for entering or exiting. This door was recently replaced. The fact that is this the only door vompounds the exiting siutation and creates a potential hazard for the occupants of the living unit. A second exit shall be installed following approval from the Building Inspector. Permit Required. Common area smoke detectors (basements) are the sole responsibility of the property owner. The pwner shalt replace batteries once per year or at the beginning of new tenancies. Written responsibilities shall be given to the pccupants concerning smoke detectors. The 2nd floor smoke detector shall be replaced. The basement smoke detector shall be moved. Item # 9 Code 16-35A (3) Compliance No Compliance Date 03/06/2002 IMMEDIATELY Description [[he 2nd floor kitchen sink trap is rusted through and shall be replaced. The leaking waste stack in the basement shall be repaired. There is a possible open sewer (see pg 5 upper pic) which shalt be sealed if indeed an open sewer.
