IT IS OBVIOUS FROM THE DAMAGE TO THE INTERIOR OF THE SECOND FLOOR UNIT
THAT THE ROOFING IS LEAKING ALLOWING RAINWATER TO ENTER THE LIVING UNIT,
ALL INTERIOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY WATER INFILTRATION SHALL BE REPAIRED AND
PAINTED AFTER THE ROOFING IS REPLACED AS ORDERD. BATHROOM) ETCi
THERE IS NO BATTERY IN THE SMOKE DETECTOR IN THE LIVING UNIT. THE TEN-
ANT C!..hIMS NO BATTERY WAS INSTALLED AT THE BEGINNING OF -OCCUPANCY IN
JULY 1992 NOR WERE WRITTEN SMOKE DETECTOR RESPONSIBILITY FORMS ISSUED.
IF YOU DO HAVE A SIGNED SMOKE DETECTOR RESPONSIBILITY FORM) FORWARD IT
TO THIS OFFICE IMMEDIATELY.
THE KITCHEN AND BATHROOM SINKS HAVE DAMAGEDPORCELlN AND ARE RUSTING
THROUGH. THE SINKS SHALL BE REPLACED BY A LICENSED PLUMBER WITH PERMIT.
ALL OF THE WINDOWS IN THE LIVING UNIT ARE IN EXTREMELY POOR CONDITION
AND SHALL BE REPLACED WITH NEW WINDOWS TO STOP COLD AIR INFILTRAJION.
A GFI ELECTRICAL WALL RECEPTACLE SHALL BE INSTALLED IN THE BATHROOM BY
A LICENSED CONTRACTOR WITH PERMIT.
SCREENS IN GOOD CONDITION SHALL BE - INSTALLED ON ALL OPENABLE WINDOWS I
AFTER REPLACEMENT EQUAL TO 4% OF THE FLOOR AREA OF THE ROOMS THEY SERVE.

WHICH ARE DETERIORATED. THE ROOFING ON THE DWELLING SHALL BE RBvDVED

A CODE COMPLIANT HANDRAIL SHALL BE INSTALLED ON THE BASEMENT STAIRS.
THE LIGHT FOR THE BASEMENT STAIRS SHALL BE M.l\DE OPERABLE.
IT APPEARS THAT lWO WATERHEATERS HAVE BEEN INSTAlLED IN THE BASEMENT
WITHOUT A PERMIT BY UNLICENSED PERSONS.
THE BASEMENT SHALL BE CLEARED OF ALL DEER I S I NCUJD I NG THE TWO OLD WA TER-
HEATERS AND FURNACE.
THERE IS NO SMOKE DETECTOR INSTALLED IN THE BASEMENT. (COM'1ON AREA)
THE LOWER KITCHEN SINK WASTE PIPE (GALV.) IN THE BASEMENT IS RUSTED
THROUGH AND SHALL BE REPLACED BY A LICENSED PU1'lBER WITH PERMIT.
THERE IS A POSSIBLE OPEN SEWER CREATED BY AN UNTRAPPED DRAIN FROM THE
EAST BASEMENT SINK. TO BE CHECKED AND SEALED BY PLUMBER.
NEW 3/4" COPPER WATER PIPE HAS BEEN RUN FROM THE WATERMETER TO THE
GALVANIZED PIPING BY THE WATERHEATERS. PERMIT & LICENSE REQUIRED.
UNAPPROVED MATERIAL HAS BEEN INSTALLED IN THE FIRST FLOOR TUB WASTE
PIPING.
ALL GUTTERS AND DOWNSPOUTS SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED TO STOP RAIN-
WATER INSFILTRATION INTO THE BASEMENT AND ONTO THE EAST STEPS.

Dear Mr. Allen:
Our serviceman has reported that a hazardous condition exists
in/on your range and water heater located at 1002-A Wisconsin St.
For health and safety reasons, the equipment should be turned off
until the condition indicated has been corrected:
top valve of. range has no handles and oven door is no good;
two water heater are not venting properly.
All gas equipment should be maintained and kept operating in a
safe manner. Please give this your immediate attention.
If you would like Wisconsin Public Service to make the necessary
repair, call us. If you prefer, you may call any qualified
service agency.
When this repair is completed, call Wisconsin Public Service
Corporation's Gas Service Department at 231-9001 and we will
clear our records.
