ProblemNiolation of: 17-36A; Maintenance of exterior surfaces.
Brief history review: An inspection conducted 9/26/05 revealed that this property is in need of
significant repairs. Correction Notices have been issued both last year (2005) and this year for
the property but there has been no response. Copies of the Correction Notices are enclosed.
Currently the property is vacant and in foreclosure. This property has become an attractive
nuisance and a blighting influence on the area.
A review of the building exterior reveals the following areas/items to be repaired as the enclosed
photos illustrate: 1) Windows 2) Doors 3) Railings 4) RoofS) Painting 6) Porches/landings.
A call placed to WPS on 9/21/06 revealed that both the gas and electric meters have been sealed.
The City of Oshkosh's Water Department has informed this office that the water has been turned
off at the curb. Without working water, heat and electricity this building should be considered
uninhabitable. Also note that the currently listed owner ofthe property, Steven F Hobbs, had
applied for a rehab loan through the City (copy of application enclosed). fu said application, Mr.
Hobbs indicated that the furnace needed replacement/repair due to the fact that it did not produce
enough heat to adequately heat the residence.
We are requesting an abatement order that would require (1) the dwelling be razed and removed
or (2) ifthe owner should chose to repair the dwelling, make all necessary repairs to bring the
dwelling into compliance with all standards of the City of Oshkosh's Property Maintenance
Codes and allow an interior inspection conducted by this division to determine if other
violations/hazards exist that need to be corrected.

Violations must be corrected and approved within 30 days unless otherwise noted. Call for reinspections prior to concealment
and/or occupancy. Upon completing the corrections, the owner/contractor/agent must sign and date at the bottom of this notice
and return it to the Inspection Services Division by the Compliance Date of 10/29/2005
Office hours for obtaining permits are Monday through Friday 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 12:30-1 :30 p.m. or by appointment. To schedule
inspections please call the Inspection Request line at 236-5128 noting the address, permit number (when applicable), and the
