Description:
Pole foundation design under lateral loads using the method proposed in the Wisconsin Enrolled Commercial Building Code. Values
to be known prior to using this method are; the total horizontal force, its location above grade, the type of soli (which controls the later
earth pressure), If movement of the foundation Is permitted, is the force wind, and is the pole foundation restrained at the 5011 surface
The design method is iterative, the width of the foundation and Its depth must be assumed, and a new depth is calculated based on
the assumed depth. When assumed depth Is greater than the calculated depth, design Is complete. For a comparitive value, the
volume of concrete utilized is calculated.
