Please read the following information and sign at the bottom to acknowledge that you have read
and agree to comply with these conditions.
1. All habitable rooms must be provided with 8% light and 3.5% ventilation. Bedrooms
located on tl)e sElcond flQor orbelow groul1d level must be provided with egress windows
in addition to thEllight and ventilation requirements. Basement windows are also
required to have window well areas inaccordancewithJLHR2LQ3.
2. Garage spaces shall be separated from the dwelling unit in accordance with ILHR 21.08.
The door andftameassemblybetween the dwelling unit and an attached garage shall be
labeled b)' an independentt~sting agency as having a mininlUm fire-resistive rating of 20
minutes. All drywall joints are required to be taped/sealed unless the joints are fitted so
that the gap is no more than a dimes thickness ( lI20-inch) and backed by solid wood or
drywall with the joints staggered.
3. All penetrations in exterior walls must be sealed prior to the insulation inspection. This
includes holes in th.e. top and bottom plates, gaps around heating ducts, and holes in the
return air spaces.
4. Smoke detectors are required on every floor and within 6' orall bedrooms. The smoke
detectors are required to be hardwired and interconnected.
5. Hydromassage tubs are required to have an access panel to motor. The access panel must
be accessible without removing the finish of the house.
6. All oyerframing must bedesigned by the truss manufacturer, according to standards set
by the truss plate institute, or structural calculations must be provided prior to the rough
building inspection.
7. Truss plans must be submitted and approved prior to framing the roof.
8. Truss plans including the truss layout must be provided on site atthe rough building
inspection. In addition to the truss plans, microlam calculations must be provided on site
at the rough building inspection for all microlams with point loads on them.
9. Calculations l1l~stbeprovided for all cantilevered floors with point loads. Floor trusses
and TJI's must be designed for the cantilevered areas.

10. The property owner and applicant is responsible for compliance with ILHR 21.125
(Erosion Cmitrol). When installing access drives, a minimum of 2"_3" diameter stone is
required in addition to a minimum of 6" depth, 30'..50' length, and14'-20' width. Erosion

12. The Q1J.Uciing placard must be posted on site at all times. Once the ro1J.gh framing is up
the placard must be posted on the patio door or on a kitch~n w1nclQW, Jfthe placard is not
present at any inspection, stop work orders will be posted. Additional placards can b~
obtain.ed throygh our department if the cards are misplaced.
13. All mechlllli~alsm1J.stbe:roughed in prior to requesting the rough building inspection. If
011 the inspection the mechanicalsar~notroughed in, the inspection will fail and a $100
re-inspection fee will be charged.
14. Attached is a copy of the final inspection checklist At tb~Jh:ll!Lin~pection all items on
this list mllstb~~Qmpleted to avoid the $100 re-inspection fee per inspection.
15. When requesting final inspections please note that a minimum Qf2cll!Ys notice is needed
from the tim~ tb~j!lspection is ready. Furniture is only allowed to be placed in the center
of the garage flool' and a minimum Of1l3' pathway must be provided around the wallsof
the garage. At the final inspection no furnitW'~orpersonal belongings are allowed in the
house. Appliances such as the stove, refrigerator, washer, and dryer are not to be set in
place due to th~ ele~t:d~Il1.i!1spector needing to look at the power serving the appliances.
A 6' stepladder must be on site lltJbefimtlim;pection to provide access to the attic.

occupancy is approved. Occupancy is not allowed prior to the placard having all of the
final inspection approved stickers on the backside. If occupancy occurs prior to the
inspections being approved daily citations will be issued with no further n()tic:eb~ing
