All habitable rooms must be provided with 8% light and 3.5% ventilation. Bedrooms located on tl)e sElcond flQor orbelow groul1d level must be provided with egress windows in addition to thEllight and ventilation requirements. Basement windows are also required to have window well areas inaccordancewithJLHR2LQ3. 2. Garage spaces shall be separated from the dwelling unit in accordance with ILHR 21.08. The door andftameassemblybetween the dwelling unit and an attached garage shall be labeled b)' an independentt~sting agency as having a mininlUm fire-resistive rating of 20 minutes. All drywall joints are required to be taped/sealed unless the joints are fitted so that the gap is no more than a dimes thickness ( lI20-inch) and backed by solid wood or drywall with the joints staggered. 3. All penetrations in exterior walls must be sealed prior to the insulation inspection. This includes holes in th.e. top and bottom plates, gaps around heating ducts, and holes in the return air spaces. 4. Smoke detectors are required on every floor and within 6' orall bedrooms. The smoke detectors are required to be hardwired and interconnected. 5. Hydromassage tubs are required to have an access panel to motor. The access panel must be accessible without removing the finish of the house. 6. All oyerframing must bedesigned by the truss manufacturer, according to standards set by the truss plate institute, or structural calculations must be provided prior to the rough building inspection. 7. Truss plans must be submitted and approved prior to framing the roof. 8. Truss plans including the truss layout must be provided on site atthe rough building inspection. In addition to the truss plans, microlam calculations must be provided on site at the rough building inspection for all microlams with point loads on them. 9. Calculations l1l~stbeprovided for all cantilevered floors with point loads. Floor trusses and TJI's must be designed for the cantilevered areas. ., 10. The property owner and applicant is responsible for compliance with ILHR 21.125 (Erosion Cmitrol).
