HomeMy WebLinkAboutComplaint 10/2/1999 CL05Lb October 2, 1999 Mr. Charles Williams P. O. Box 2285 Oshkosh, WI 54901 Dear Mr. Williams,. We have noticed several disturbances related to your property at 1115 Merrill St. This historically has been a quiet family neighbor~ood. We look out for each other's well being. On several occasions the police have been called to quell the activities of what appear to be unsupervised children. These activities include disturbing the peace, obscene language and property damage. The latest of these episodes occurred on 9-30-99 and 10-1-99. We are fearful, distressed and concerned on a continuous b$sis. I These and other events require that we alert you to a potentially explosive situation. We suggest that you evict the current tenants and exercise greater care in future rentals. We do not wish to resort to formally contacting legal counsel in reference to our rights under applicable municipal ordinances, Wiseonsin public nuisance statute, or under other legal basis. It is usually costly and time-consuming to initiate and pursue such formal avenues. Please work with us on this problem to avoid such recourse. Within fourteen days of the date of this letter, please respond in writing as to the remedial efforts you will take to alleviate this trQublesome situation, not only for us, but for the neighborhood. Sincerely, Brian J. Gabavics Ceci Cramer 128 Prospect Ave. Oshkosh, WI 54901 Dr. & Mrs. H.W.
