HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-110B MARCH 27,2007 FIRST READING APRIL 10, 2007 SECOND READING 07-99 07-110B ORDINANCE (CARRIED 6-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN PURPOSE: TRAFFIC REGULATIONS INITIATED BY: TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING SECTIONS 27-20 (A), 27-22 (A), 27-23 (A-3[G]), 27 -23(A-11), 27-53 AND 27-54 OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO AUTHORIZE "TRAFFIC OFFICERS", PARKING OF VEHICLES IN MUNICIPALLY OWNED OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS, PAY AND DISPLAY MACHINES, PARKING REGULATIONS ON DESIGNATED STREETS AND ALLEYS, PENALTIES FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS AND PAYMENT OF PARKING VIOLATIONS. SECTION 2. That Section 27-22 (A) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to parking of vehicles in municipally owned off-street parking areas is hereby amended as follows: Delete Therefrom: (A) Proper Parkinq. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle in any municipal parking facility except within the limits of a designated parking space, except as permitted in Section 27 -22(B). All vehicles parking in municipally owned off-street parking areas shall park with the front end facing away from the aisle except in the North Main Street/400 Block West Parking Lot and Library Lot. Backing into or pulling through stalls shall be prohibited except in the North Main Street/400 Block West Parking Lot and Library Lot. Motorized vehicles with three (3) or less wheels may park with the front end of the vehicle facing the aisle. Persons for whom the Department of Transportation of the State of Wisconsin has issued a special registration under Sec. 341.14( 1) to (1 r), Wis. Stats., or a special identification card under Sec. 343.51, Wis. Stats. may back into a marked stall reserved for vehicles displaying said plates or identification cards. That Section 27-23 (A-11) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to parking regulations on designated streets and alleys is hereby amended as follows: A-11 PARKING REGULATIONS ON DESIGNATED STREETS AND ALLEYS ALGOMA BOULEVARD Delete Therefrom: No parking, north side, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. in front of Indian Trail Apartments and also that portion commencing at the westerly property line of 504 Algoma Boulevard and extending in an easterly direction for a distance of 180 feet. MAIN STREET Delete Therefrom: No parking, east side, from Waugoo Avenue to 36 feet north. Add Thereto: No parking, east side, from Waugoo Avenue to 56 feet north. OSCEOLA STREET Delete Therefrom: 4-hour parking, west side, from Algoma Boulevard to Pearl Avenue. SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, publication, and placement of the appropriate signage.
