. 1604.4 Analysis. Any system or method of construction to be used shall be based on a r tional analysis in
accordance with well-established principles of mechanics. Such analysis shall result in a system that
provides a complete load path capable of transferring loads from their point of origin to he load-resisting
elements. Due to the fact that the existing structural components are not visible with ut some
demolition work --As per the fax received 3/26/07 from Jeff Reep it is agreed that add.tional
calculations and details will be submitted showing the connections and load transfer or the mansards
being constructed over the entrances on the West elevation of the building. This info mation will
address the structural capacity of the existing wall to transfer both horizontal and ver icalloads that
will result from the construction of the mansards.

of properly signed and sealed truss plans, and completed SBD-118 application form. T. ISS plans,

approval. All revisions and modifications to plans shall be approved in writing by the d partment or its
authorized representative prior to the work involved in the revision or modification bein carried out. A
revision or modification to a plan, drawing or specification shall be signed and sealed in accordance with
Corom 61.31(1).

Per our discussion last week, efJ has made the following changes the truss bearin details
showing trusses bearing on the ledger board, and the detail showing proper orient tion of
the H3 hurricane ties.
As we have no drawing for the existing building and we have not been able open the
structure, we will need to evaluate and design revisions to connections during the
construction phase.
