1. All lihbitable rooms must be provided with 8% Ii t

in addition to the light and ventilation requirements. Basement windows are also

2. Garage spaces shall be in ILHR 21.08.
The dOOr and frame assembly between the dwelling Unit and an attached garage Shall be
labeled by an 'independent ~esting agency as'having a minimum fire-reSistive rating of 20
:minutes.'All dryWailjoints are r~quired to be taped/seal~d'~iess ~he~j6~n~'-are fitted so
that the gap is no more than a dimes thickness (1/20-inch) and backed by solid wood or
drvwail with the joints staggered.

4. SmOke detectors are required On eVerY floor and within 6' of all bedrooms. The smoke
detectors are required to be hardwired and interconnected.
5. Hydi~6~h§~a~tubs are required to have an access panel to motor. The' access panel must
be acceSSible without removing the finish Of the house.
All overframing mUst be designed by the truss manufacturer} aCcording to standards set
by the truss plate institute, or structural calculations must be provided prior to the rough
Truss plans must be submitted and approved prior to framing the roof.
Truss plans including the truss layout must be provided on site at the roughbuilding
inspection. In addition to the truss plans, microlam calculations must be provided on site
at the rough building inspection for all microlams with point loads on them.
CalculatiOns must be provided for all cantilevered fl°0'~s with pbint if'ads. Floor tresses
and TJI's must be designed for the cantilevered areas.

The property owner ~gd applicant is responsible for compliance with ILHR 21.125
(Erosion Control). When installing access drives, a minimum of 2"-3" diameter stone is
required in addition to a minimum of 6" depth, 30'-50' length, and 14'-20' width. Erosion
control measuresmust be maintained until the lawn i~s established.

All storm sewer inlets must be protected with approved erosion control devices. Tracking
(i.e. sediment) must be removed from the street at the end of each workday. Repair an)'
siltation or erosion damage to adjoining surfaces and drainageways resulting from land
development or disturbing activities.

The building placard must be posted on site at all times. Once the rough framing is up
the placard must be posted on the patio door or on a kitchen window. If the placard is not
present at any inspecti0n~stop work oiders will be posted. Additional placards can be
obtained through our department if the cards are misplaced.
13.
All mechanicals must be~ roughed in prior to requesting the rough building inspection. If
on the inspection the mechanicals are not roughed in, the inspection will fail and a $100
re-inspection fee will be-charged.
14.
Attached is a copy of the final inspection checklist. At the final inspection all items on
this list must be completed to avoid the $100 re-inspection fee per inspection.

When requesting final inspections please note that a minimum Q£~2 days notice is needed .
from the time the inspection is ready. FurnitUre is only allowed to be placed in the center
of the garage floor and a minimum 0fa 3' pathway must be provided around the walls of.~
the garage. At the final inspection no furniture or personal belongings are al!o~ed in.the .....
house. Appliances such as the stove, refrigerator, washer, and dryer are not to be set in
Place due to the electrical inspector needing to look at the power serving the appliances.
A 6' stepladder must be onsite at thefinal inspection to provide access to the attic.

occupancy is approved. OCcupancy is not allowed prior to the placard having all of the
final inspection approved stickers on the backside. If occupancy occurs prior to the
inspections being approved daily citations will be issued with_r~o, furt_.her ~oti~ce b~ing
given.
17. All site grading must be done in accordance with.~he_approved drainage plan on file in the
public works office, 3rd floor.
