Flanagan 404 North Main Street RID #814 Mailed c:c:: !'rEM ~ ORDER FINDINGS OF INSPECTION 1. 16-34 2b The shower room and toilet room shall be equipped with ei ther a window opening to the out.side of the dwelling or mechanical. ventilation. This violation could be corredted by making the entire basement the bathroom. . Ventilation would then be present via windows. The base- ment door would.become the bathroom door. 2. 16-36 (5) Presently the basement is being used as a bedroom. Base- ments can be used as such if they meet habitable room re- quirements which this room does not, i.e. ceiling height, lack of electrical wall receptacles and water infiltration. I would suggest that half of this area being closed off fo~. a storage room and the rest would be the bathroom as indi- cated in item #1. 3. 16-34 (3) A GFI electrical wall receptacle is required in the shower room within. six feet of the bathroom sink. 4. 16.33 (6) A handrail is required on the rear steps to the kitchen. 5. 16-33 (7) It was noted that smoke detectors were chirping indicating weak or dead batteries.
