Dear Sirs,
Examination of the plumbing plans and specifications for this, project has been completed. In
accord with Chapter 145, Wisconsin Statute, and COMM 81 through 85, Wisconsin
Administrative Code, the plumbing plans and specifications are approved contingent upon
compliance with the stipulation(s) noted below.
1. The water service shall be separated from the exterior grease trap by the minimum
of 10 feet per COMM 82.34
2. The water service shall be separated from the sanitary sewer lateral by the minimum
of 8 feet per COMM 82.40
3. Cleanout access to the sanitary sewer shall be provided at intervals prescribed in
COMM 82.35
4. Direct fixture drain connections shall be provided for all fixtures per COMM 82.32
except for fixtures exempted in COMM 82.33
5. Cross connection protection is the responsibility of the installing plumbing contractor
(containment RPZ valve is not a code requirement for this structure) COMM 82.41,
WSS 145
6. Under counter hand-sink vent does not comply with design requirements for return
vent contained in COMM 82.31(12)
7. Greasy waste drains shall be accessible by full size cleanout at 40 foot intervals and
any changes of direction of more than 45 degrees COMM 82.35
8. Full size cleanout required within 5 feet of building drain I building sewer junction
COMM 82.35
9. Trap primer will require approved receptor per COMM 82.33
10. Backflow cross-connection protection is required at all point of use water outlets and
connections per COMM 82.41
11. Control valve use is restricted downstream from an ASSE 1001 device per COMM
82.41
12. Hot water circulated distribution system shall be insulated to limit heat loss and no
uncirculated distribution piping may exceed 25 feet in developed length. COMM
82.40
In the event installation of this plumbing system has not commenced within two years from this
date, this approval shall become void. A new application accompanied by full examination
fees shall be filed and an updated approval received before work may commence.

In granting this approval, the City of Oshkosh or its representative does not hold itself liable for
any defects in plans or specifications, plan omissions, examination oversight, construction or
any damage that may result in or after installation. The City of Oshkosh reserves the right to
order changes or additions should conditions arise making this necessary.
It shall be necessary for the installing plumber to obtain a plumbing permit from the City of
Oshkosh before proceeding with actual installation of this plumbing system or any of its parts.
