A CITIZEN REQUEST FOR 4-HOUR PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF EAGLE STREET
BETWEEN 7:00 A.M. AND 4:30 P.M. ON SC.HOOLDAY.. S FROM...P. O.RT. ER AVE. NUE. TO.T.AFT
AVENUE. [CURRENT CONDITION: NO .PARKING ON. SCH()OL DAYS. FROM PORTER
AVENUE TO RUSH AVENUE AND 2-HOUR PARKING FROM RUSH AVENUE TO TAFT AVENUE
ON SCHOOL DAYS].
This is a request from a citizen.
During last month's meeting, a citizen suggested increasing the available parking for West High
students by allowing 4-hour parking on the east side of Eagle Street from Porter Avenue to Taft
Avenue. There is currently no parking on the east side of Eagle Street between Porter Avenue
and Rush Avenue, and 2-hour parking from Rush Avenue to Taft Avenue.
The current parking restrictions were put in place tOE?Hminate student parking in front of homes
located on the east side of Eagle Street. I don't believe student parking should be allowed in
residential areas, unless there is unanimous support for on-street parking. The width of Eagle
Street will allow for parking without causing a traffic flow issue, but the final choice should
remain with the property owners. I will not support parking on the east side of Eagle if there is
any opposition.from residents in this area.

A CITIZEN REQUEST FOR A YIELD SIGN AT EDGEWOOD DRIVE AND RYF ROAD. [CURRENT
CONDITION: NO CONTROL].
This is a request from a citizen.
The warrants for a yield sign are shown below:
1) Three or more right angle accidents in a twelve-month period.
2) 1,500 or more vehicles per day.
3). Inadequate sight distance.
There was one (1) reportable accident in the last three years, but it was notrelated to a right of
way issue.
The estimated traffic volume at this intersection is 825 vehicles per day.
The sight distance is fine with no obstructions on either corner.
This is a T-type intersection and neither the accident history, the traffic volumes or the sight
distance support the installation of a yield sign.
