BILLS It is recommended that the bills, as audited and presented by the Director of Finance, be approved for payment. 2. HOLIDAY PARADE Request permission to grant approval to the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce to utilize city streets and facilities on Saturday, November 11, 2006, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, for the 24th Annual Oshkosh Holiday Parade, in accordance with the attached letter of request. 3. FALL FAMILY HARVEST PARTY Request permission to grant approval to Faith Christian Center to close Melvin Avenue, from Bowen Street to Bong Court, on Tuesday, October 31,2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., for their Fall Family Harvest Party, in accordance with the attached letter of request. 4. BLOCK PARTY Request permission to grant approval to the residents of Woodstock Street to close Woodstock Street, from Fox Tail Lane to Montclair Place, on Saturday, October 7,2006, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., for their neighborhood block party, in accordance with their recently submitted Block Party Request Form. 5. FIRE DEPARTMENT 150TH ANNIVERSARY PARADE Request permission to grant approval to the Oshkosh Fire Department to utilize city streets, and to utilize the parking lot on Ceape Avenue, west of the Central Fire Station, on Saturday, October 14, 2006, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to hold their 150th Anniversary Parade and display of fire apparatus, in accordance with the attached letter of request. ~ OSHKOSH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DEVELOPMENT LEADERSHIP September 12, 2006 Richard Wollangk City of Oshkosh P.O. The Parade will be held on Saturday, November 11 th, 2006 beginning at 10:00 AM. We anticipate that the parade will last for approximately an hour and a half. MichaetMagnuson Church (920) 231-2200 Fax (920) 232-3712 September 18, 2006 This is a request for a block party permit for Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We are having a Fall Family Harvest Party with inflatable games and horse rides, food, etc. It will be sponsored by the Faith Christian Center, the event is free and open to the entire community. We are asking to have the section of street blocked off from the comer of Melvin & Bowen, west to Bong Court. We held this event last year and it worked out so well that we wanted to do it again. Dianne Magnuson 5~~~ Faith Christian Center BLOCK PARTY 'REQUEST FORM FOR STREET CLOSURE The purpose of a BLOCK PARTY is to provide social interaction among block residents in order to strengthen a neighborhood. Closing of a street for such a party should not adversely impact any of the street's residents. The timeframe for the street closure should fall sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., must be affirmed by the Oshkosh Common Council, and be based upon a recommendation from the City Manager. We would like permission to have a parade as part of our celebration. The parade route would begin on North Main Street at Merritt Avenue, and proceed down to Ceape Avenue. The parade would begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until approximately 10:30 a.m. We would also like permission to use the parking lot on Ceape A venue, west of the Central Fire Station, for the parking of fire apparatus for display after the parade.
