The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as defined in Chapter 101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements Key Item(s) I Conditions: . ANSI 404.2.4 Maneuvering Clearance at Doors. Minimum maneuvering clearance at doors shall comply with Sections 404.2.4.1 through 404.2.4.7. Table 404.2.4,1 required min 18 inches on latch side of front approach on pull side of door. Door into existing toilet room does not appear to have the required clearance. Provide details on how this issue will be resolved. . IBC 711.3 Any penetrations of fire rated assemblies are required to be protected with a listed firestopping system that m;ltches the rating of the wall assembly being penetrated. Copies of the firestopping systems are required to be provided at the time of inspection. . IBC 901.2 Fire protection systems shall be installed, repaired, operated and maintained in accordance with this code and the international fire code. Construction of new walls may require the addition and or relocation of sprinkler heads to maintain required coverage, and not obstruct spray patterns of fire sprinklers . IFC 901.4 Fire protection systems shall be maintained in accordance with the original installation standards for that system. Required fire protection systems shall be extended, altered, or augmented as necessary to maintain and continue protection whenever the building is altered, remodeled or added to. Alterations to fire protection systems shall be done in accordance with applicable standards. IBC 906.1/ IFC 906.3 The maximum travel distance allowed to a fire extinguisher is 75 feet. . IBC 1003.2.10 Exit signs are required to be installed per this section . IBC 1003.2.11 Means of egress illumination is required to be installed per this section. All paths of egress through The Retail Display area are required to have adequate emergency lighting to meet the performance requirements ofIBC 1003.2.11.3. Provide complete emergency lighting plan showing compliance with these requirements prior to installation of emergency lighting system. . IBC 1004.3.2 Corridors - Corridors shall comply with sections 1004.3.2.1 through 1004.3.2.5. IBC 1004.3.2.1 Construction Corridors (the rear egress path through the "Egress Corridor" is considered a corridor.) shall be fire-resistance rated in accordance with Table 1004.3.2.1. The corridor walls required to be fire-resistance-rated shall comply with Section 708 for fire partitions. Table 1004.3.2.1 Exception c. Buildings equipped throughout with an automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 or 903.3.1.2. This will require the monitorinf! and alarms per Section 903.4 this includes ALL valves controllinf! water supplv. . NFP A 72 4.5.2 Provide a copy of the fire alarm system record or completion for the required monitoring and alarms of the automatic fire sprinkler system . IBC 1101.2/ANSI A117.1-308.2 & 3 - Mechanical system controls shall be located a maximum of 48" above the finished floor if the floor space allows a forward approach by a wheel chair or if the clear space allows a parallel approach. . IBC 1209.1 Provide toilet room floors with smooth, hard, nonabsorbent surface extending minimum 6 inches up onto walls. . COMM 62.1109 (12) Where counters are provided for sales or distribution of goods or services, at least one of each type provided shall be accessible. Per ANSI AI17.1-1998 the minimum length of an accessible service counter is 36 inches, to be maximum 36 inches above the floor. . IBC 2902..1 / Table 2902 Drinking water is required to be provided, since no drinking fountain is shown on plans a bottled water cooler is required to be provided. . Comm 61.30(3) This review does not include lighting. Comm 63.0001 Prior to installation, lighting plans and calculations shall be prepared in compliance with the code. The plans shall be available upon request. . Comm 61.30(3) / IMC 507.2 This plan review does not include heating, ventilation, or air conditioning. HV AC plans are required to be submitted and approved prior to installation ofHV AC equipment. Be aware that mc 1004.3.2.4 contains additional restriction for air movement in corridors . Comm 61.31(4) Revisions to approved plans. All proposed revisions and modifications which involve rules under this code and which are made to construction documents that have previously been granted approval by the department or its authorized representative, shall be submitted to the office that granted the approval. All revisions and modifications to plans shall be approved in writing by the department or its authorized representative prior to the work involved in the revision or modification being carried out. Comm 61.50 (4) Supervision. Prior to the initial occupancy of an alteration the supervising professional shall file a compliance statement form SBD-9720 with this office. . MUN 30 This review does not include review for signage. Applications for and questions regarding signage permits should be directed to David Buck - Associate Planner (920) 236-5062. . MUN 30-35 (1)(5) All rooftop and ground level mechanical equipment and utilities shall be fully screened from view of any street or residential zoning district. Contact David Buck - Associate planner (920) 236- 5062 for additional information on screening requirements. All screening shall be properly anchored in place to resist wind loads. Additionally IDC 1608.8 Roofprojections - Drift loads due to mechanical equipment, penthouses, parapets and other projections above the roof shall be determined in accordance with Section 7.8 of ASCE 7. A copy of the approved plans, specifications, and this letter shall be on-site during construction. All permits are required to be obtained prior to commencement of work. In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this review shall relieve the designer of the responsibility for designing a safe building, structure, or component.
