Additionally mc 1608.8 Roofprojections - Drift loads due to mechanical equipment, penthouses, parapets and other projections above the roof shall be determined in accordance with Section 7.8 of ASCE 7. Based on discussion with Cal Kapp of Condon Companies, there will be no greater number of pieces ofmechanical equipment placed on the roof than currently exist. Some equipment currently on the roof may be replace or relocated, however the total number of units placed on the roof will not increase, - there for screening is not required to be provided. Should additional equipment be installed, the requirement for screening will need to be reviewed further. All permits are required to be obtained prior to commencement of work. In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance.
