Note: This building has been submitted and approved as a NON-HEATED seasonal use ONLY.
If there is any possibility of there being a future desire for this building being converted to a heated structure, it would be
worth considering providing those elements required to meet energy codes that are not easily modified after construction is
completed.
The submittal described above has been reviewed for conformance with applicable Wisconsin Administrative Codes and
Wisconsin Statutes. The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as defmed in Chapter
101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements
Key Item(s) I Conditions:
· ANSI 303.4 Changes in level greater than Yz inch shall be ramped in compliance with Section 405 or 406.
(Caution on overhead door threshold).
· IDe 906.1/ IFC 906.3 The maximum travel distance allowed to a fIre extinguisher is 75 feet. An
extinguisher is required in the storage area and the concession area.
· COMM 62.1109 (12) Where counters are provided for sales or distribution of goods or services, at least
one of each type provided shall be accessible.
· 1604.4 Analysis. Any system or method of construction to be used shall be based on a rational analysis in
accordance with well-established principles of mechanics. Such analysis shall result in a system that
provides a complete load path capable of transferring loads from their point of origin to the load-resisting
elements. Provide additional documentation on column / beam connection detail showing that uplift
load will be transferred properly. Specified column cap does not appear to have adequate capacity.

· IMe 403.3 [eomm 64.0403 (6)) Ventilation rate. Janitor closets. A janitor closet that has only one
service sink may be provided with either natural ventilation via a window or louvered opening with at least
2 square feet (0.2 m2) of area openable directly to the outside or mechanical exhaust ventilation as
specifIed in Table 64.0403. Plans submitted show a louvered opening being provided.
· eOMM 309.1 [eomm 64.0309) (3) Seasonal occupancies. When approved by the department heating
requirements may be waived, but!!!!J. ventilation required by this code, during the period of May 15
through September 15 for the following similar occupancies:....outdoor toilets..... Provide details as to
how the required exhaust and make up air will be provided for the toilet rooms, which require 75
cfm of exhaust per toilet fIxture, prior to the installation of such ventilation.
· Comm 61.30(3) This review does not include Truss components. Submit, prior to installation ofieset
of properly signed and sealed truss plans.
· Comm 61.31(4) Revisions to approved plans. All proposed revisions and modifIcations which involve
rules under this code and which are made to construction documents that have previously been granted
approval by the department or its authorized representative, shall be submitted to the offIce that granted the
approval. All revisions and modifIcations to plans shall be approved in writing by the department or its
authorized representative prior to the work involved in the revision or modifIcation being carried out. A
revision or modifIcation to a plan, drawing or specifIcation shall be signed and sealed in accordance with
Comm 61.31(1).
· Comm 61.50 (4) Supervision. Prior to the initial occupancy of an alteration the supervising professional
shall fIle a compliance statement form SBD-9720 with this office.
· eomm 80 This plan review does not include plumbing. Prior to installation of plumbing, plans and
calculations are required to be submitted and approved. Based on information provided in these plans it
would appear that plumbing plan review is required. '
· MUN 15 NOTE: eontact Anne Boyce - Health Services (920) 236-5029 for additional information as to
Health code requirements. Preliminary review indicates the need for an additional hand wash sink, and
3-compartment sink to be located in concession area.
· MUN 30-35 (1)(5) All rooftop and ground level mechanical equipment and utilities shall be fully screened
from view of any street or residential zoning district. Contact David Buck - Associate planner (920) 236-
5062 for additional information on screening requirements. All screening shall be properly anchored in
place to resist wind loads. Additionally IBC l608.8 Roofprojections - Drift loads due to mechanical
equipment, penthouses, parapets and other projections above the roof shall be determined in accordance
with Section 7.8 of ASCE 7.
A copy of the approved plans, specifications, and this letter shall be on-site during construction. All permits are required to
be obtained prior to commencement of work.
In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or
additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this
review shall relieve the designer of the responsibility for designing a safe building, structure, or component.
