Dear Mr. Patek;
As you requested, we are submitting this Amendment for Construction-Related Engineering
Services.
This Amendment would revise the following sections of our Agreement.
1 . Scope of Services
2. Compensation, Billing and Payment
The above sections would be amended to include the following:
A. Scope of Services
Earth Tech, Inc. (ETI) will perform the following services for this project:
Construction-Related Services
1. Provide one set of construction stakes for the drainage channels, storm sewer,
culverts, and detention pond facilities.
2. Assist the Client in assembling the contract documents for review and execution by
the Client and Contractor and furnish one executed copy to the Client, Earth Tech,
and Contractor.
3. Prepare an agenda for and assist the Client in conducting a preconstruction
conference with representatives of the Contractor, Client, Earth Tech, and affected
utilities.
4. Furnish a project representative who will visit the site at intervals appropriate to the
stages of construction to become generally familiar with the progress and quality of
work and to determine, in general, if the work is proceeding in accordance with the
contract documents. During such visits and on the basis of on-site observations,
Earth Tech shall keep the Client informed of the progress of the work, shall endeavor

to guard the Client against defects and deficiencies in the work of the Contractor, and
will reject work found not in conformance with the contract documents.
5. Process monthly applications for payment submitted by the Contractor, and forward
to the Client with recommendations for approval and payment.
6. Process contract change orders for Client execution and field modifications for
adjustments not requiring extra time or money.
7. Review shop drawings and other data required to be furnished by the Contractor for
conformance to the design intent as gi\en in the contract documents.
8. Perform a field observation of the completed contract before recommending final
payment as set forth in the application from the Contractor.
9. Revise the original drawings upon the completion of the project in accordance with
construction records supplied by the Contractor, and supply the Client w~~ fne set of

10. Supply the Client with a copy of communications issued by Earth Tech to the
Contractor.
11. Provide an on-site representative during the construction of the drainage facilities to
observe and record construction progress. This observation will occur under the
guidance of Earth Tech approximately 3 days perweek at 9 hours per day and 2 days
per week at 2 hours per day for grading work and 9 hours per day for all underground
utility work for an estimated 16-week construction period.
12. Field screening for potential contamination of soil during excavation. If potentially
contaminated soil is encountered, field screening can reduce the total volume of soil
to be disposed. We have assumed and included 3 site visits at 10 hours each for
screening potential contaminated soil locations. Also included are 2 conformation soil
samples at each location for laboratory analysis of the soil.
13. Assist the Client with grant administration by providing construction breakdowns for
payment requests.
B. Compensation, Billing and Payment
Compensation:
The estimated fee for the Construction-Related Services will be $71,448; which will
increase the contract fee amount to $171,448. A breakdown of the fee is shown at
the end of this amendment letter.
