engineer who did the calcs said the roof was structurally capable of handling the new

Dear Brian:
Attached you will find proposed drawings and pictures for the HV AC screening for my building
at 1ð20 W. 20th Ave. Note that Unit 1 east and west (refer to A6) are the only units that are
visible from the :fi:ont and therefore only these units were screened :fi:om the :fi:ont. All of the
material would be made from steel reinforced vinyl fencing not to exceed the height of the units.
Also note that only enough space to service the units was left available on the sides ofthe units.
All posts contain concrete as well as additional steel pipe reinforcement. All of the units would
be secured to the HV AC units with a series of chains running from Eye Bolts in the concrete
filled posts to holes in the frame of the HV AC units.
Please call me with your decision as to whether or not this is acceptable screening.

Dear Mr. Noe,
In the process of adding two pieces ofHVAC equipment to my building at 1030 W. 20th
Ave. it came to my attention that this new equipment now has to be screened. Because
the building was just built two years ago and we were not asked to screen a.'1y of tIle other
equipment the new screening requirement came as a surprise to us. We did not plan or
budget for this new additional screening.
I do understand the purpose of the screening and I do think that it is a good idea. I would
however ask that you give me some time to do this properly. Smce the screening project
was not in our plans the tenant (Lindekugel's Salon) that is suppose to be moving into the
new location had made plans to vacate their old store and move into this new location on
20th Ave. no later than Oct. 1,2005. Since there is no way that we can get the screening
finished by this time I would ask that you allow us four months to properly finish the
screening and that you allow Gartman Mechanical to finish their work and the
Lindekugel Salon to open for business without the screening finished with the promise
from me that I finish the necessary screening by Dec. 31 2005.
