Our survey crew has been out to your property and gathered the infonnation required. We have reviewed the information gathered and compared it with the approved drainage plan for the subdivision that your neighborhood is a part of. Through this review we have found that your property does not comply with the approved drainage plan and is contributing to the neighborhood drainage problems. The approved drainage plan for your neighborhood relies on backyard drainage swales to convey storm runoff to the area drain at the southwest comer of your property. When your lawn was installed, the drainage swale flowing south across the back of your property was not maintained and is causing runoff to pond on your neighbors properties. Property owners are responsible for the grading and lawn work within their property. The city can help you with advice and by placing survey stakes to assist you in complying with the approved drainage plan for your neighborhood. You have one month fi'om the date of this letter to correct this grading problem. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel ftee to contact us at 236-5065. cc: David Patek, Director of Public Works Ed Potempa, Civil Engineer II Ailyn Dannhoff, Director of Inspection Services File H:~amesr\Storm Water CornplaintslEichstadt Rd 3478IEric Xiong Letter 4-10- 06.doc Page 1 of 1
