Introduction
Upon receiving a complaint from the tenant regarding the electric bill and a shared water heater, the violations listed below
were noted. Regarding the water heater and electric bill, it is clear to me that the way the water heater is connected to
heelectrical system, the tenants in 811 are unfairly paying for ail heated water usage. This was not a code issue, but being the
ervice requires repairs, a house meter is needed for the water heater, or the upper unit needs their own water heater.

on Electrical connection to a replaced water heater requires a separate electrical permit. Replacing windows requires a building
permit.

Summary
Violations must be corrected and approved within 30 days unless otherwise noted. Call for reinspections prior to concealment
and/or occupancy. Upon completing the corrections, the owner/contractor/agent must sign and date at the bottom of this notice
and return it to the Inspection Services Division by the Compliance Date of 3/24/06
Office hours for obtaining permits are Monday through Friday 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 12:30-1:30 p.m: or by appointment. To schedule
