RE: 950 N SAWYER ST
Dear Ms. Amundson and Mr. Amundson,
This letter is in regard to your property at 950 N Sawyer St in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As you are aware I have been
trying to resolve the property maintenance violations on this property since 8/21/05 with no success. I have
enclosed current pictures of the property for your review. Since no attempt is being made to clean up the property I
have no choice but to issue an Abatement Order and proceed for court action on this property.
Prior to pursuing this action I thought that I would make one last attempt to gain compliance with less costs
iucurred by you. I have enclosed a permission slip, which would give the City of Oshkosh permission to clean up
the exterior of your property. The costs iucurred would need to be paid by you. By proceediug in this manner it
will save you and the City of Oshkosh court costs and attorney fees. By agreeing to allow the City to enter the
property and remove the junk, debris and trash you will avoid the issuance of additional citations for failure to
remove the present accumulation of junk, debris and trash. However, the City of Oshkosh reserves the right to
pursue compliance should this condition reappear or the property deteriorates in other manners after the junk,
debris and trash is removed.
/
I had a previous conversation with Chris Amundson and he stated that he physically can not clean up the property
and that he has no money to hire contractors to clean up the property. He also stated that the house was
uninhabitable due to the plumbing pipes, which burst. This was also conf1!TI1ed in my conversation on March 7,
2006 with Kathleen Amundson. Please note that a correction notice is attached to this letter which states that the
house is required to be razed and/or repaired due to the house beiug uninhabitable.
The permission slip iu enclosed. Failure to sign, date, and return the enclosed form to our office by March 24,
2006 will result in Abatement Action. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 920-236-5036.
Sincerely,
JJl~\~
