Bruce,
The financing for repairs should be completed by 02-18-05. It would have been done and work begun already if
the lawyer hadn't made the mistakes he did on the quit claim which was discovered the day before I was to close
on the financing. Supposed schedule is below:
Drucks had been contacted and provided an estimate to begin work on the replacement of the furnace. They are
just waiting on my financing to begin. They should begin before the end of February. They will be replacing both
furnaces with a single, replacing the water heater, installing coil for AG, and changing the service to 100 Amp
breaker.
I am hoping that mid March weather will allow for the roof replacement. This will either be done by Northern
Roofing, or myself depending on cost. I spent six years with both Winkler and Gibson back in the early '90s. The
roof replacement will include the garage. It will be a complete tear-off, board repair, re-sheet with 1/2" OSB, and
shingled with 30 year asphalt.
Siding will be done by Salzieder who have also provided an estimate, they will begin as soon as the roof is
complete and dependant on their own internal schedules. I do not remember if the estimate included the garage,
but I will have it done (gable ends to match house) if it did not.
I also intend to have the large Oak tree removed from the front on the house. I have heard from family members
that its roots have caused some problems. I have received estimates for this also and it will be done ASAP.
I would have preferred that work had begun already, but I haven't paid the lawyer in full yet (and I am glad that I
haven't due to his bone head mistake). I am doing alii can as fast as I can more for the sake of my Aunt and
Uncle but I am sure that these repairs will also meet all city requirements.
Thank you for the call and sending the paperwork. Please let me know if anything new comes up. I will happily
keep you posted regarding progress on the repairs.
