Dear Mr. Mokler:
On October 27,1999, the City of Oshkosh Board of Appeals approved your variance request to (a)
construct a two unit addition to an existing multi-family dwelling which results in a per unit area of
1,355 sq. ft. and (b) construct an addition to a parking lot with a 5 ft. rear yard setback. Your variance
was approved with the following conditions: (1) A landscape plan for the property be approved by the
Dept. of Community Development prior to obtaining a building permit which plan shall address the
transitional yard on the north side of the property and include new deciduous trees along the street tront.
(2) A 6 ft. wooden fence be installed along the rear lot line in order to screen the parking from the
neighbors to the east. (3) The entire parking lot be paved in compliance with City standards. (4) The
terrace that is currently used for parking be restored to grass. (5) The units be only 1 bedroom units.
The decision of the Board was filed in the Planning Services Office of the Department of Community
Development on October 28, 1999. Per Section 30-6(C)(3) and (4) of the City of Oshkosh Zoning
Ordinance, your variance will expire on April 27, 2000 unless you have obtained a permit for the
ortivitv ellowed hv the variance. If you fail to get a permit by this date, you must reapply for a variance
if you intend to go ahead with the activity allowed by the variance.
Building permits may be applied for trom the Inspection Services Division in Room 205 at the Oshkosh
City Hall between 7:30 - 8:30 AM and 12:30 - 1 :30 PM, Monday thru Friday, or call (920) 236-5050 for
an appointment. Please bring all required building plans and information necessary for review when
obtaining your building permit.
