Off-Street Parking at 815 Woodland Ave
Dear Mr. Miller,
As a follow-up to our conversation earlier this morning, this letter is intended to serve as a summary of our
conversation regarding the parking violations at your property, This letter will aiso serve to outline the
responsibilities and expectations in regard to the parking violations, to both @ as the landlord and vour tenants.
Included with this letter are recent photographs of the property, taken on 10/28/04, 11/01/04, 11/08/04, and
11/16/04, showing that the parking situation has not been corrected.
The parking violations can be broken down into three categories: front yard area, driveway area, and rear yard
area. The City agrees that you have done your due diligence to resolve the parking problem in the front yard area
and the driveway area. Considering this, please advise your tenants that any cars parked outside of the three
designated front yard parking spaces or within the driveway area will be issued municipal citations,
The rear yard parking area continued to be a problem, Although you have secured a permit for re-striping of this
area, the existing striping has not been removed and cars are not parking as approved, resulting in the parking
vioiations evident in the enclosed photos. It is your responsibility to have the existing striping removed and new
striping applied. If the new striping cannot be applied due to the onset of winter weather, please forward to me a
written response indicating a date when the striping will be completed. Please note that vehicles must be parked
in the approved parking area, even though the stripes have not been applied. Also, be advised, you may be found
responsible for any citations issued for parking outside of the approved spaces behind the building, since you have
not followed through to designate these spaces as required.
THE EXISTING STRIPING IN THE REAR YARD AREA MUST BE REMOVED IMMMEDIATEL Y, SINCE ITS
REMOVAL IS NOT WEATHER DEPENDENT. Failure to remove the existing striping by December 1, 2004 will
result in the issuance of municipal citations to you, the landiord, since these spaces are no longer valid and are
contributing to the parking problem at the site.
If you have any questions in regards to this letter or you are unclear on any of the responsibilities outlined above,
please do not hesitate to call me. I can be reached at (920) 236-5062 from 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday, It
would be beneficial if you would provide a copy of this letter to each of your tenants, so they may also understand
their responsibilities in regard to this matter.
