Brief history review:
May 1999
A Fire Department inspection reveals that the second floor of this 3 story
industrial use building has been remodeled into ao apartment. A review of the file
shows no permits were issued for this work.
May 25,1999 A Correction Notice is sent.
During the course of the next year, enforcement was delayed to allow the Zoning Ordinaoce to be
modified to allow residential uses in upper floors of Industrial Use Building in Industrial Zoning
Districts. Additionally, the owner would need time to apply for a Conditional Use Permit aDd
have plaos developed for the conversion.
Aug. 22, 2000 Another Correction Notice was issued because the owner had not commenced
activities toward securing approvals for the conversion of the second floor to ao
apartment.
Oct. 10,2000 Owner secures the necessary Conditional Use Permit.
April 7, 2003 The same Correction Notice is sent because the owner has not submitted plaos nor
obtained permits for the Conversion ofthe Second Floor to ao Apartment.

Mr. Biesinger contacted me shortly after the notice was sent aDd argued that he
did have the necessary approval for the apartment. He was advised that while the
CUP was approved, he still had to submit plaos, secure permits aDd pass
inspection in order for the apartment to be approved. He was also advised that
because he did not follow through aDd secure the necessary plao approval, permits
aDd Occupaocy Approvals, the CUP had now expired aDd he would have to
reapply.

This note in to inform you that sections of the building at 915 S Main are being used as a private residence. The owner
admitted that he is living in the building. There are several areas that there are no fire separations between the living areas
and the warehouse. There are also numerous fire code violations.
