The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as defmed in Chapter 101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements Key Hem(s) I Conditions: IBC 406.6.3 Ventilation. Garages shall be mechanically ventilated in accordance with the International Mechanical Code. The ventilation systern shall be controlled at the entrance to the garage. IMC 304.4 Public garages. Appliances located in public garages, service stations, repair garages or other areas frequented by motor vehicles, shall be installed a minimum of 8 feet (2438 mm) above the floor. Where motor vehicles exceed 6 feet (1829 mm) in height and are capable of passing UDder an appliance, appliances shall be installed a minimum of2 feet (610 mm) higher above the floor than the height of the tallest vehicle. Exception: The requirements of this section shall not apply where the appliances are protected from motor vehicle impact and installed in accordance with Section 304.3 and NFP A 88B. IMC 307.1 Liquid combustion by-products of condensing appliances shall be collected and discharged to an approved plumbing fixture or disposal area. IMC 401.5 Opening Location Outside air exhaust and intake openings shall be located a minimum of 10 feet (3048 mm) from lot lines or buildings on the same lot. Where openings front on a street or public way, the distance shall be measured to the centerline of the street or public way. Hangers and brackets shall be of noncombustible material. NEC 511.3 (B) (1) For each floor, the entire area up to a level of 18 inches above the floor shall be considered a Class I Division 2 location. Since no continuous ventilation has been provided to declassifY this area, all wiring in this location is required to meet the requirements of wiring and equipment in a Class 1 location. This would prohibit the installation of the electric baseboard heaters within 18 inches of the floor. Comm 61.31(4) Revisions to approved plans. All proposed revisions and modifications which involve rules under this code and which are made to construction documents that have previously been granted approval by the department or its authorized representative, shall be submitted to the office that granted the approval. All revisions and modifications to plans shall be approved in writing by the department or its authorized representative prior to the work involved in the revision or modification being carried out. A revision or modification to a plan, drawing or specification shall be signed and sealed in accordance with Comm 61.31(1). SUBMIT: . Comm 61.50 (4) Supervision. Prior to the initial occupancy of an alteration the supervising professional shall file a compliance statement fonn SBD-9720 with this office. A copy of the approved plans, specifications, and this letter shall be on-site during construction. All permits are required to be obtained prior to commencement of work. In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this review shall relieve the designer of the responsibility for designing a safe building, structure, or component.
