Comm 61.31(4) Revisions to approved plans. All proposed revisions and modifications which involve
rules under this code and which are made to construction documents that have previously been granted
approval by the department or its authorized representative, shall be submitted to the office that granted the
approval. All revisions and modifications to plans shall be approved in writing by the department or its
authorized representative prior to the work involved in the revision or modification being carried out A
revision or modification to a plan, drawing or specification shall be signed and sealed in accordance with

Insulative continuity shall be maintained in the design of slab edge insulation systems. Continuity shall be
maintained from the wall insulation through the intersection of the slab, wall and footing to the body of the
slab edge insulation. Provide thermal break at edge of slab junction with frost wall for Section A
Sheet A-I
SUBMIT:
2603.4 Thermal barrier. Except as provided for in Sections 2603.4.1 and 2603.7, foam plastic shall be
separated fi:om the interior of a building by an approved thermal barrier ofO.5-inch (12.7 mm) gypsum
wallboard or equivalent thermal barrier material that will limit the average temperature rise of the
unexposed surface to not more than 250°F (120°C) after 15 minutes offlre exposure, complying with the
standard time-temperature curve of ASTM E 119. The thermal barrier shall be installed in such a manner
that it will remain in place for IS minutes based on FM 4880, UL 1040 or UL Ins. Combustible
concealed spaces shall comply with Section 716.
mc 2603.4.1.5 Rooîmg. Foam plastic insulation under a roof assembly or roof covering that is installed
in accordance with the code and the manufacturer's installation instructions shall be separated fi:om the
interior of the building by wood structural panel sheathing not less than 0.47 inch (11.9 mm) in thickness
bonded with exterior glue, with edges supported by blocking, tongue-and-groove joints or other approved
type of edge support, or an equivalent material. A thermal barrier is not required for foam plastic insulation
that is a part of a Class A, B or C roof-covering assembly, provided the assembly with the foam plastic
insulation satisfactorily passes FM 4450 or UL 1256. Provide Additional detail showing which
construction No. will be used to meet the above requirements

A copy of the approved plans, specifications, and this letter shall be on-site during construction. All permits are required to
be obtained prior to commencement of work.
In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or
additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this
review shall relieve the desigoer of the responsibility for desigoing a safe building, structure, or component.
