Smoke detectors are required on every floor and within 6' of all bedrooms. The smoke
detectors are required to be hardwired and ìritercoI1IÌ.ected.

Hydromassage tubs are required to have an access panel to motor. The access panel must
be accessible without removing the finish of the house.

All overframing must be designed by the truss manufacturer, according to staÎldards set
by the truss plate institute, or structural caJ¡;ulations must be provided prior to, the rough
building inspection.

The property owner and applicant is responsible for compliance with ILHR 21.125
(Erosion Control). When installing access drives, a minimum of 2".-3 ". diameter stone is
required in addition to a minimum of 6". depth, 30'-50' length, and 14'-20' width. Erosion
control measures must be maintained liIltil the lawn is established.
All stonn sewer iIllets Illust be protected with approved erosion control devices. Tracking
(i.e. sediment) must be removed ITom the street atthe end of each workday. Repair any
siltation or erosion damage to adjoining surfaces and drainageways resulting ITom land
development or disturbing activities.
The building placard must be posted on site at all times. Once the rough ITaming is up
the placardI11ust be posted on the patio door or on a kitchen window. If the placard is not
present at any inspection, stop work orders will be posted. Additional placards can be
obtained through our. department if the cards are misplaced.
All mech<\llic¡Ùs IIlllstbe roughed in prior to requesting the rough building inspection. If
on the inspection the mechanicalsare not roughed in, the inspection will fail and a $100
re-inspection fee will be charged.
Attached is a copy ofthe final inspection checklist. At the fillal inspection all items on
this list must be completed to avoid the $100 fe-inspection fee inspection.
When requesting final inspections please note that a miniIllUID 0(2 days notice is needed'
ITom the time the inspection is ready. Furniture isOnlf allowed to be placed in the center
of the garage floor and a lIlinimu11l ofa3'pathwaymust be provided around the walls of
the garage. At the final inspection no furniture or personal belongings are allowed in the
house. Appliances such as the stove, refrigerator, washer, and dryer are not to be setin
place due to th.e electriöal inspector needing to look at the power serving the appliances.
A 6' stepladder must be on site at the fillal inspection to provide access to the attic.
The building placard must remain on the patio door or on a kitchen window until
occupancy is approved. Occupancy is not allowed prior to the placard having all of the
final inspection approved stickers on the backside. If óccupancyoccUrs priortò i:hé
inspections being approved daily citations will be issued with no' further notice. being
given.
All site grading must be done in accordance with the approved drainage plan on file in the
public works office, 3rd floor.
