Box 1130 Oshkosh, WI 54903-1130 Attn: Allyn Dannhoff RE: Exclusive Company-Smoke Detection Dear Allyn, Following a correction notice of 12-15-04, we have had some discussions with Mr. G, the owner of the Exclusive Company concerning a requirement for smoke detection, unit shut down, and annunciation of alarm condition. This is for the first level or main level of his new store on Main Street, Oshkosh, WI. We had the discussion about the detection being required only because of a one single approximate 4' x 10 or 12' room at the east side of the building which is separated from the single large main area. We have a letter from the owner indicating that he intends not to use this as an office because of this situation. We had quoted the detection, and annunciation and he opted not to cover this cost even though he realized that it was a legitimate change. Weare pulling the diffuser from this area, and capping the take off on the duct main. This should resolve the need and request for smoke detection on this particular unit. Be advised that this work will have been done on 1-12-05. We enclose a copy of the letter from the Exclusive Company advising us on taking this method of resolving this situation.
