Brief history review:
Orders were issued to Mr. Andersen for the above property on 3/24/04. At that time the house was posted
"Unfit for Human Habitation & Use". Six citations were issued to Mr. Andersen. The citations were dismissed
at the court date with the understanding that the house would remain vacant until he decided ifhe was going to
raze and/or repair the dwelling. Mr. Andersen was also informed that he was to gut the dwelling, provide a
detailed time line for repairs, bids for the repairs, and obtain the required inspections to determine if the
dwelling could be repaired. As of 3/1/05 our office has had no correspondence with Mr. Andersen requesting
inspections and it is our understanding that the dwelling is still vacant.
At this time I am requesting approval for a Raze or Repair notice to secure compliance on this property. To our
knowledge the owner has not complied with any of the orders from the 3/24/04 correction notice and he has not
submitted the required documents for repairing the structure. Hopefully by issuing a Raze or Repair notice it
will provide us with an opportunity to secure compliance by repairing this structure or having it razed.
