(CAD AS I) will hold its second annual Race for the Light fun run/walk to raise money to support its mission. This family-oriented event's highlight is the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights in Menominee Park, a portion of the course winds through the lights in the park giving the participants a different view of this wonderful exhibit. CADASI is requesting the permission of the City of Oshkosh to use portions of Washington Avenue, Hazel Street, Siewert Trail, Pratt Trail and Linde Street from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on 3 December 2005. The course begins on Washington, just east of the railroad tracks; proceed east to Hazel Street, then west to Siewert Trail. At Siewert Trail the course turns into the boat launch parking lot and enters Pratt Trail. The exit from Menominee Park is at the intersection of Merritt and Linde with the course going south on Linde to Washington and then north on Washington to the start/finish. A map with the course outlined is included. Last year this event had one hundred forty-two participants and raised over $10,000 for CADASI. We are hoping to exceed both the number of participants and money raised this year. CADASI thanks the City of Oshkosh for its consideration of this request and looks forward to a positive response. Should you have any questions or need additional information regarding this request please contact me at (920) 231-3776 or (920) 379-1818. Sincerely, cØÆf- Thomas R.
