Community Center Dear Mr. Masterson, This letter is a written statement regarding the ability to establish a "community center" servicing the Cumberland Court Apartments at 1000 Cumberland Trail, Oshkosh, WI. as well as a review of the submitted plans (dated 7/26/2005) on conformity of dimensional standards, building elevations and landscape plans to the dimensional standards of the City of Oshkosh Municipal Code. The property (# 13-1368-0000) is currently zoned R-3: Multiple Dwelling District that allows, but is not limited to, "Multiple dwellings and accessory structures customarily incidental to the residential principal use." Please See Section 30-20 in the City of Oshkosh Municipal Code (website www,cLoshkosh.wLus) for full list of uses permitted within the R-3 District. The "community center" is anticipated to include office space, office storage, a multi-purpose space and a maintenance workshop and be utilized by only residents, and services for the residents, of the Cumberland Court Apartments. The City of Oshkosh Community Development Department considers these uses and the associated space within the Cumberland Court Apartments as accessory to the principal multiple dwelling uses on the site, as stated in your letter dated August 26,2005. Following the review of the design/placement, building elevations and landscape plans of the proposed accessory use; City staff has determined it to be consistent with the City of Oshkosh Municipal Code and consistent with the variance for parking space reduction, which was approved on 12/23/2003.
