The submittal described above has been reviewed for conformance with applicable Wisconsin Administrative Codes
and Wisconsin Statutes. The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as deemed in
chapter 101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements.
The following conditions shall be met during construction or installation and prior to occupancy or use:
COMM 64.05(2)(a) Provide a minimwn of outside air in the amount 00.5 cfinper person in the building.
Simultaneously exhaust an equal amount of air. See Table 64.05.
The minimwn outside air requirement in the amount 00.5 cfm per person shall be based on the nwnber of
occupants approved with the building. The Prayer Room 117 will require a minimwn of 600 cfin and the
Lounge Room 143 will require a minimwn 0075 cfin.
COMM 64.08(3) Provide a building exhaust ventilating system which will operate continuously when people
are in the building to provide the amount of exhaust specified in COMM Table 64.05.
As noted above the corresponding exhaust ventilating fans for the Prayer room and the Lounge shall be adjusted
to equal the outside air requirement.
COMM 64.22(7) Provide factory built fueplaces to be constructed and installed in accordance with all code
requirements of this code section.
Outside air shall be provided for combustion in accordance with s.Comm 64.09.
COMM 64.43 Volwne dampers must be provided in all ducts to permit accurate balancing of the system.

COMM 67.67(1) This review does not include the kitchen exhaust hood. The owner should be reminded that
kitchen exhaust hood and calculations are required to be submitted for review and approval prior to installation.
COMM 64.67(2)(b) Provide a kitchen exhaust hood over cooking equipment which produces grease laden
vapors. The make-up air that is not part of the short cycle hood system, must be tempered air.
COMM 64.67(4) Provide kitchen exhaust hoods sized per this code section.
COMM 64.67(4)(c) Provide kitchen exhaust hoods constructed and supported by steel not less than 0.0478 inch
,u.S. standard gage (No. 18 manufacturers standard gage) or stainless steel not less than 0.0359 inch U.S.
standard gage (No. 20 manufacturers standard gage) or other materials of equivalent strength, fue and corrosion
resistance.
CÇ)MM 64.67(5)(1) Grease ducts passing through walls, ceilings or floors must be enclosed in a non-
combustible 2-hour rated enclosure, or completely covered on all sides with a material classified and labeled for
such purpose.
COM.\164.67(6) Provide an automatic suppression system for the kit<:hen exhaust hood.
COM<\164.67(9) Provide fue extinguishers, sized and located in accordance with NFPA No. 10. Maxirnwn
travel distance to extinguishers shan not exceed 75 feet. The code requires any fire extinguishers that are first
installed after April I, 2000, !!lid anytime a fire extinguisher is replaced thereafter, to comply with NFPA 10.
NFP A 10 requires portable fire extinguishers that serve commercial cooking equipment, such as deep fat fiyers,
to be classified as type K. See COMM 51.22 and the associated note.
A copy of the approved plans, specifications and this letter shall be on-site during construction and open to
inspection by authorized representatives of the Department. which may include local inspectors. All permits
required by the state or the local municipality shall be obtained prior to commencement of
c onstructiow ins talla ti ow operation.
In granting this approval the Division of Safety & Buildings reserves the right to require changes or additions should
conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this review
shall relieve the designer of the responsibility for designing a safe building, structure, or component.
