The submittal described above has been reviewed for conformance with applicable Wisconsin Administrative Codes and
Wisconsin Statutes. The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as defmed in Chapter
101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements
Key Item(s) / Conditions:
IMC 304.1 Equipment and appliances shall be installed as required by the tenus of their approval, in
accordance with the conditions of the listing, the manufactures instructions and this code. VerifY that all
required clearances are maintained between mechanical equipment and screening
Comm 61.31(4) Revisions to approved plans. All proposed revisions and modifications which involve
rules under this code and which are made to construction documents that have previously been granted
approval by the department or its authorized representative, shall be submitted to the office that granted the
approval. All revisions and modifications to plans shall be approved in writing by the department or its
authorized representative prior to the work involved in the revision or modification being carried out. A
revision or modification to a plan, drawing or specification shall be sigoed and sealed in accordance with
Comm 61.31(1).

MUN 30-35 (1)(5) All roof top and ground level mechanical equipment and utilities shall be fully screened
from view of any street or residential zoning district. Contact David Buck - Associate plarmer (920) 236-
5062 for additional information on screening requirements. All screening shall be properly anchored in
place to resist wind loads. Screening required to be installed per plans submitted and approved.

Comm 61.50 (4) Supervision. Prior to the initial occupancy of an alteration the supervising professional
shall file a compliance statement fonn SBD-9720 with this office.

A copy of the approved plans, specifications, and this letter shall be on-site during construction. All pernúts are required to
be obtained prior to commencement of work.
In gnmting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require changes or
additions should conditions arise making them necessary for code compliance. As per state stats 101.12(2), nothing in this
review shall relieve the desigoer of the responsibility for desiguing a safe building, structure, or component.

SUBMIT:
IMC 302.1 The building or structure shall not be weakened by the installation of mechanical systems.
Provide structural calculations showing roofstructure can carry additional load of RTU's
IMC 304.9 Guards. Guards shall be provided where appliances, equipment, fans or other components that
require service are located within 10 feet (3048 rom) of a roof edge or open side of a walking surface and
such edge or open side is located more than 30 inches (762 rom) above the floor, roof or grade below. The
guard shall extend not less than 30 inches (762 rom) beyond each end of such appliance, equipment, fan or
component and the top of the guard shall be located not less than 42 inches (1067 rom) above the elevated
surface adjacent to the guard. The guard shall be constructed so as to prevent the passage ofa21-inch-
diameter (533 rom) sphere and shall comply with the loading requirements for guards specified in the
International Building Code. Provide detailed information showing compliance with this section for
RTU-7
IMC 306.5 Equipment and appliances on roofs or elevated structures. Where equipment and
appliances requiring access are installed on roofs or elevated structures at a height exceeding 16 feet (4877
rom), such access shall be provided by a pennanent approved means of access, the extent of which shall be
from grade or floor level to the equipment and appliances' level service space. Such access shall not
require climbing over obstructions greater than 30 inches (762 rom) high or walking on roofs having a
slope greater than 4 units vertical in 12 units horizontal (33-percent slope). . Provide detailed information
showing compliance with this section

place to resist wind loads. Additionally mc ]608.8 Roofprojections - Drift loads due to mechanical
equipment, penthouses, parapets and other projections above the roof shall be detennined in accordance
with Section 7.8 of ASCE 7. Provide screening plans for review.
