ALL WEEDS AND BRUSH ALONG THE FENCE LINE/PROPERTY LINE AND ALONG THE
FOUNDATION OF THE DWELLING SHALL BE CUT AND REMOVED.
ALL BROKEN GLASS ALONG THE FOUNDATION OF THE DWELLING AND IN AND AROUND
THE GARBAGE CONTAINMENT AREA SHALL BE REMOVED. THE TIRE IN THIS AREA
SHALL ALSO BE'REI<'DVED. THE CARPET IN THE PARKING LOT SHALL BE REMOVED,
STEPS SHALL BE TAKEN TO STOP THE NESTING' OF PIGEONS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
THE DWELLING.
THE REAR CONCRETE ENTRY STEPS ARE DETERIORATED AND HAVE SmLED SO THAT
THE TOPMOST RISER IS IN EXCESS OF 9 IN¡ CHES IN HEIGHT. THE ~EPS SHALL

Dear Mr. Kowal:
On September 2, 1992, a final inspection,was made to assure
all violations noted at 531 Jackson St. had been corrected to
determine whether or not a license for the rooming house would be
reissued. Prior to this date I had asked you and your maintenance
man to contact this office for a final inspection. No contact was
ever made.
The inspection revealed that all of the violations noted
during the July 9, 1992 inspection had been corrected. Therefore
the rooming house license wi 11 be rei ssued wi th the following
conditions:
1.
Failure to renew the license will result in revocation
and/or the issuance of citations for continued operation
of a rooming house without a license. (Section 16-40 (C)
& 16-44 (A) & (B). Inspection and corrections of
violations to be completed before expiration date of
license.
2.
The fire alarm system shall be tested as required by state
statues and a record kept of testing dates. ILHR 51.24
(5 )
3.
The common areas including the bathrooms shall be
maintained and kept clean and sanitary by the owner or
agent. Sect. 16-45 (4).
4.
All reasonable complaints generated by the tenants shall
be corrected immediately if the complaints relate to code
violations.
5.
The building shall be maintained both interior and
exterior to reduce numbers of violations noted during
relicensing inspections,
6.
The basement shall not be used as storage except for those
items necessary for the maintenance of this particular
building.

Requests for license renewal inspection to be made in
accordance with 60 day notice. Failure to comply with the
abovementioned conditions will be grounds for revocation
of the rooming house license and or issuance of citations.
