Dear Mr. Allen Dannoff,
I am writing to you to try to get something rectified. We had two new homes built
recently in our neighborhood and I feel that something should be looked into by your
staff.
The house at 2915 Homestead Drive, put in a parking pad next to his garage and planted
bushes to block the neighbor's view and also installed blocking material in his fence so
the view from his own backyard was obscured according to City of Oshkosh code
requirements. This work was all completed in a very quick, neat and orderly fashion by
professionals.
Now we have the other extreme at 2981 Homestead Drive. This homeowner is currently
working on his driveway, patio, and parking pad. He does not appear to have any kind of
permits; he is designing his parking pad along his garage using land that is designed for
drainage and filling it in. He is also setting the pad on the lot line, if not over the lot line.
This work has been going on for quite some time and with no end in sight.
We are just as,king that someone look into this situation and make sure that all City of
Oshkosh code reqUirements are met and that the other home owner doesn't have to feel
like he was singled out and made to comply with the codes and regulations.
