706.4 Continuity. Fire barriers shaH extend ITom the top of the floor/ceiling assembly be]ow to the
underside of the floor orroofs]ab or deck above and shaH be secure]y attached thereto. These waHs shaH
be continuous through concea]ed spaces such as the space above a suspended ceiling. The supporting
construction shal1 be protected to afford the required fire-resistance rating ofthe fire barrier supported
except for i-hour fire-resistance-rated incidenta] use area separations as required by Tab]e 302.], I in
buildings of Types IIB, TI1B and VB construction. HoHow vertical spaces within the fire barrier wal1 shal1
be firestopped at every floor ]eve1. Verify that existing walls to become rated walls have been properly
constructed to meet rated wall requirements.
mc 711.3 Any penetrations of fire rated assemb1ies are required to be protected with a listed firestopping
system that matches the rating of the wal1 assemb]y being penetrated, Copies of the firestopping systems
are required to be provided at the time of inspection.

plans does not show closers for the added fire doors. All hardware installed on rated doòrs is required
to comply with NFPA 80 requirementsfor hardware on rated doors.

In granting this approval the City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Department reserves the right to require chaoges or
