Madison, WI 53717 City Of Oshkosh Liquor Licenses Committee Oshkosh, WI Thank you for reviewing my application for a liquor license at Durango's Mexican Restaurant located at 2070 S. Koeller St. My restaurant has been open for four years and in these last four years I have had a number of clients ask me for a variety of mixed drinks that include liquor. Some of these clients know me from my other restaurants in the Milwaukee area and always ask me for my signature cocktails as well as my repeat customers here in Oshkosh. Durango's over the last four years has become a popular destination for Mexican Food in Oshkosh. Many people working in nearby companies enjoy eating lunch at Durango's because of it's prompt service and good food. The dinner crowd is a wide range from families to people gathering after work for dinner and drinks. We extend our hours to accommodate the large amount of people in Oshkosh, especially Koeller S1. area for such events as the aviation show and Green Bay Packer Games. I am also an active member of the, Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce and the Wisconsin Restaurant Association. With my experience as a chef and having 17years in the restaurant business I understand the importance of offering what my customers want in order to keep my clientele. That is why this liquor license is necessary for my restaurant and my clientele. ~ , '" LeX 1..1 ~ l L... ~~, ~e~(v'< vvt ~ - f7l~7 ~V\ Cv ¡ '3.1Y71?~ C "'--t: t: / ()---...J ŸÌ (?. y D v~ ð U '-' . , :T i~ rhhAik /f1Y1 & ¡:' ~ f7JiÍ ¡t/ (y п;w~ I w;J:- /\/6- I V" ýf ¿ 0 ¡/l- W e .:J.1:J A- ß 4-...t... / /4-V¿",;¿,.) ?-3'. oS INí ~6:S/Æ.l) l,v I ¡.¡ IS ?r,/o-()t.J) ~ .2 0 IS //A/Z.L/S ð"¡ .9 " ß¿ r¡:::: /L-I G-A/DC:-7 -r ff../~/L-,j Fol't- A- ¿ A---r t /1r-r þ~ a,,"¡ ,t.:/--N..ð þA-~L1 IS V€-IVI;v'1r f-/ct..//1/J 2./00 - C ¿oeSt. r ~ r/~v¿ I~-f Y~AM 7i~r £ Jf ¿) w /-'r /L- J) (1937 - 2~3) r~~ ¡7/t~ t5 LtIé--,.,,-¡ S. 6><'/6.-et~c'¿ j( "" ¡.I AI I A/ (,;- ,4 I!>~ INS, IJ€. :J t/1-/A.lJ()~ 111~ ,~L WI '1:' ¡-f- Lt rrt-é. ¡::'Ilé. We purchased the fonner Taco John's property, which was vacant for many years, tore the building down and built our restaurant at considerable expense. The property has been reassessed to be more valuable because of the improvements we have made to the property. We operate a full service Mexican Restaurant serving authentic Mexican food. We are open 7 days a week from 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M., but we have been unable to succeed in the business due to lack of a liquor license. Despite our best efforts, our business has not been successful because we do not have a Combined Class B Liquor License. We have found that most of our customers desire alcoholic beverages, especially Margaritas, with Mexican food. We have lost a lot of business because of not being able to provide alcoholic beverages. For example, as recently as Saturday evening we had three tables of customers leave because we could not serve them the alcoholic beverages which they wanted. We are in desperate need of a Combination Class B Liquor License if we are to continue to operate our authentic Mexican Restaurant in Oshkosh. We hereby request that the available Combination Class B Liquor License be granted to our restaurant as it is imperative for our restaurant to stay in business. Thank you very much for your consideration. Sincerely, La Hacienda Restaurant Lii~..i' D.Or1iz'rf~. '. ~ t:V .\Juo¿j °d31Fi~d'
