HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-240.doc JULY 26, 2005 05-240ORDINANCE FIRST READING (CARRIED_______ LOST________ LAID OVER________ WITHDRAWN________) PURPOSE:TRAFFIC REGULATIONS INITIATED BY:TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING SECTION 27-23(A- 3)(D), (A-11) AND 27-49 OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO PARKING METERS, PARKING REGULATIONS ON DESIGNATED STREETS AND ALLEYS AND MONTHLY PARKING LOTS. The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 27-23(A-3) (D) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to ten hour metered streets is hereby amended as follows: A-3 (D) TEN HOUR METERED STREETS Delete Therefrom: Division Street, west side, from Algoma Boulevard to Church Avenue. Division Street, east side, from Algoma Boulevard to Church Avenue. Add Thereto:Division Street, west side, from 190 feet north of Algoma Boulevard to Church Avenue. Division Street, east side, from 194 feet south of Church Avenue to Church Avenue. SECTION 2. That Section 27-23 (A-11) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to parking regulations on designated streets and alleys is hereby amended as follows: A-11PARKING REGULATIONS ON DESIGNATED STREETS AND ALLEYS DIVISION STREET Delete Therefrom:No parking, east side, from 182 feet south of Church Avenue to Algoma Boulevard. Add Thereto:No parking, west side, from Algoma Boulevard to 190 feet north of Algoma Boulevard. JULY 26, 2005 05-240ORDINANCE FIRST READING CONT’D Add Thereto:90-minute parking, east side, from Algoma Boulevard to 107 feet north of Algoma Boulevard from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No parking, east side, from Algoma Boulevard to 107 feet north of Algoma Boulevard from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. No parking, east side, from 107 feet north of Algoma Boulevard to 194 feet south of Church Avenue. MILL STREET Delete Therefrom:Parallel parking for vehicles with boat trailer, east side, from Bay Shore Drive to 218 feet south from April 1 to November 1. Angle parking, east side, from 22 feet south of Bay Shore Drive to 218 feet south from November 1 to April 1. Add Thereto:Parallel parking for vehicles with boat trailer, east side, from Bay Shore Drive to 184 feet south from April 1 to November 1. No parking, east side, from 184 feet south of Bay Shore Drive to the Fox River. OSCEOLA STREET Add Thereto:No parking, west side, from Pearl Avenue to its southwesterly terminus except for 2-hour angle parking from 70 feet to 160 feet south of Pearl Avenue. PEARL AVENUE Delete Therefrom:No parking, both sides, from Rockwell Avenue to Main Street except from Jackson Street on the south side to 613 feet west on weekends and holidays. Add Thereto:No parking, both sides, from Osceola Street to Main Street except on the south side from Jackson Street to 613 feet west on weekends and holidays. JULY 26, 2005 05-240ORDINANCE FIRST READING CONT’D Add Thereto:No parking, both sides, from Rockwell Avenue to Osceola Street except for handicapped parking on the south side from 340 feet to 450 feet west of Osceola Street. SECTION 3. That Section 27-49 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to monthly parking lots is hereby amended as follows: Delete Therefrom:The following described parking areas are designated for vehicles with a valid residential parking permit and holders of such a permit shall be entitled to lease a designated stall at the rate of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month. Enforcement of the residential parking stalls shall be all days 24 hours. Residential parking permits shall be issued to residents of the 400 and 500 blocks of North Main Street. Add Thereto:The following described parking areas are designated for vehicles with a valid residential parking permit and holders of such a permit shall be entitled to lease a designated stall at the rate of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month. Enforcement of the residential parking stalls shall be all days 24 hours. Residential parking permits shall be issued to residents within the BID district boundaries. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage, publication, and placement of the appropriate signage.
